The reason why Gideon was able to take over the shack by just having the deed in his hand was due to the “Finders Keepers” rule made by Quentin Trembley when he founded Gravity Falls. The rule stated that if any item is “lost”, it can be picked up by another and it will now legally belong to them

I feel like at the time this was airing the 80% of the fun of this series was coming from all the theories and trying to decipher all of the clues which they avoid. I kinda thing without all of that this series seems like just another ordinary cartoon and it feels like Greg and John are gonna end up with such impression :|

You just saw a multidimensional creature rip the teeth out of the mouth of a deer and give them to you like it's nothing...then send them back inside that said mouth... It's both so hilarious and disturbing at the same time...so much Bill Cipher !! Really one of the best character of the show ! So much not Disney !!

It's funny y'all talked about how Stan is harder to voice than Gideon since their voice by the same person. Alex Hirsch does Stan Gideon, Soos, Old Man McGucket, Bill Cypher and a lot of the monsters of the week and various side characters.

This eps was the one that officially got me hooked on Gravity Falls and soon became the fan of the show ever since. The last two of Season 1 had a great mixer of comedy, heart, drama, and action but always remembers to not take itself too seriously and got back to what the show was about. It definitely filled that void left by the ending of Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated which is another good cartoon The Real Rejects should check out sometime.
