What I find so remarkable about this show is how easily it could've been bad. Lesser writers would made Mable annoying to the point of being hated and would've made these siblings who are constantly at each other's throats to the point of it being unbearable. Instead they made them a great team, who genuinely sacrifice for each other with very little hesitation.

This gave me SO MUCH FEELS when I watched this for the first time.

You can see how mature dipper was through this for 12 years old

Anyone else think Dipper's voice as a little kid was the most adorable thing in the world? I'm so happy they used the same voice actors for them when they were little, cause lots of other shows get different ones and it ruins it. But Gravity Falls got it right.

Wow just wow. This episode was my least favorite out of all the other episodes. I hated how it shows it was Dipper's fault when it was clearly Mabel's. Not only did she cause Weirdmaggedon, but she replaced her brother because Dipper wasn't apparently "supportive" even though he sacrificed a lot just for her. And Mabel was completely aware of what was happening in Gravity Falls but she decided to stay inside her immature little world while Dipper cares about the people of Gravity Falls and is trying his best to save Ford and some other people, but Mabel literally put him in trial!! Umm does she not care of how many people are dying at that moment?! And she doesn't even admit that it was her fault! She doesn't even say a single sorry! She only cares about herself and what *she* wants!! I was really looking forward for Dipper to be Ford's apprentice because that's what Dipper wanted to do in the future, but Mabel was so selfish and Dipper literally lost the chance of discovering monsters and learning advance education with Ford all because of Mabel. I get that she is emotional but she is still really selfish. And I know people are going to tell me that she is 12 years old and she is still young, but look at Dipper and Pacifica! They are 12 years old and they are much more mature than Mabel! Heck, I'm pretty sure Grenda and Candy are little bit more mature than Mabel. And Mabel doesn't even say a simple sorry to all of Gravity Falls.

This feels like a great moment, but it’s also a depressing one. Mabel’s primary flaw is that she expects everyone to give up what they want in order to make her happy. Dipper has always enabled her in this way, and he ends up doing it here again. How long before Dipper gets tired of her self-centeredness and starts cutting her out of his life the same way Ford did to Stan? He only gives in here because there’s a gun to his head.
