Yeah but fortunately Rossi is brave enough to take and beat that challenge to win titles with another bike; the bike which seemed left behind so much at the time. Unlike some riders that win some titles by just one factory, refuse to take the challenge of winning with another bike. That makes Rossi's achievement much more valueable, so unique, and more validated. If he had chosen to stay with Honda for his entire career, almost certainly he would have won much more titles, victories, and records, but i doubt he would have been as legendary as it is now.

@@lucabaracuda987 Well ok, if we think about "what if" in this case, then i think Rossi would have won 2004, 2005, and 2006. Assume that if Stoner still had moved to Ducati in 2007, i think he still would have won that title, as how powerful that bike compared to any bike, even to Honda. Then Honda surely would've improved the RCV, then Rossi would've regained the title as he did with Yamaha. The only difference is that Rossi would've been able to win the championship in 2008-2010. Assume that Stoner still had moved to Honda in 2011 and retired in 2012, maybe he would've won the 2011 title as he was, but Rossi would've regained his title in 2012. Assume that Marquez had still moved to Honda in 2013, i don't think he would've been the champion if Rossi had been his teammate. I believe Rossi would've been the champion that year, but i doubt it had been the case in 2014 as how strong Marquez in reality in that season. Then i believe Rossi would've regained the title in 2015. In Rossi's best shots, i think he would've still been a champion in 2016, as in reality actually he was still very strong that season. He was only got unlucky due to engine failure as in Mugello 2016, and the tendency of declining by Yamaha once the middle season was started. Anyway Marquez also would've big chance to win that season as we know how blend he is with RCV. So maybe tha chance for Rossi would've been 50:50 that season. As for 2017-... i think Rossi would've reached top 3 to top 7 at the worst case. By that scenario, probably Vale would've been 14-15 times world champion (12-13 times in 500cc and/ MotoGP) hadn't he moved to another factory (Yamaha or Ducati or anything else).
