Grease interceptor above ground installation

These grease interceptors are common in most food service and coffee restaurants. They protect grease contaminants from entering the general waste water stream. While this one is above ground, many businesses have larger interceptors buried below ground, yet still accessible for cleaning.

You need 2 vents, one on inlet and the second on the out

90 on horizontal drainage is not allowed unless thought a wall penetration. Although, your codes might be different than ours

Great video. If you can’t drain through the floor, can you raise the grease trap higher and use the existing wall drain?
