Disclaimer: As always, please remember to do your own extensive research before using any plans for consumption or medicine. Do not rely on any of my videos for positive identification. If you find written sources from credentialed authors, you can develop the knowledge and confidence to safely engage in foraging. I am an amateur ethnobotanist myself, so everyone can forage safely and confidently if they are willing to put in the time to develop an “expertise” derived from expert sources.

As a resident of Northern NM (four corners) area, employed in Hesperus Co. And having much experience in outdoors, bushcraft and some survival skills, your knowledge is admirable and justifies an instascribe! THANK YOU for your help in keeping us safe and knowing! All the best and looking forward to exploring your wonderful channel! 😀

I’m sorry, I might have missed when you harvest these.

Thanks for asking. It depends on the elevation, latitude and sun exposure. Officially they are in bloom from March-July. I usually find that at my latitude and elevation it is typically limited to the month of May.

Rocky Mountain Edibles thank you. I wasn’t sure if the blooming season was also the harvesting season.

Our property is full of these and I had no idea! You're videos are amazing especially for our location (we're at about 9400' riding the Teller/Park county line); most look like they could have been shot right outside our windows here. Keep up the great outdoors content, people are woefully uneducated about their local wild edibles and I am one of them!
