This is the kinda documentary that needs to air on main stream TV to help raise the profile of Team GB and ice hockey in the UK. It would do wonders for getting more people interested.

This is the type of documentary that British National basketball team deserves ESPECIALLY the women’s team that just missed out on a medal at the recent European championship and ended up 4th. Which is the best finish any British National team has placed in an international competition. 🔥

Hockey is a sport that really has potential to grow in the UK. It's fast paced and doesn't have as many stoppages as American football. The NFL has done such a good sport promoting American Football in the UK that it's created a sizeable fanbase, the NHL or more likely the KHL should look to do the same.
@typekzoslovenska4403 жыл бұрын
Your hockey has a huge potential to work on hockey, make hockey visible in the UK and take care of every young player from the start so that you have more players in the NHL. If you do this for a few more years, your hockey will be at a high level, be inspired by Switzerland. As I say, your hockey has great potential to function for only a few years and you will be able to compete with the hockey powers. I trust you from Slovakia and I look forward to our joint match, you were the last Championship very unpleasant for us, although we won 7: 1, but several of our hockey players said that you knew how to build order in front of the goal, try to bounce off this and build on it. I keep my fingers crossed from Slovakia.

James Robertson Justice was among the most popular actors in British film from the 1950's to the 70's. During his youth he had spent a great deal of time in Canada and developed a life long passion for the hockey. I believe that he played Goalie in one of the premier British Pro leagues. He went on to be play a major role in developing hockey in Britain. Ya got some deep roots here.

Superb documentary. I have always followed the ice hockey at the Olympics, with Steh Bennett's commentary, and then started watching MK Lightning, then followed GB last year 2018 and got really caught up in it because I knew Slovenia were good having watched them play in Pyongchang 2018 Olympics, so to hear & see GB beat them was great and then following them now in the top flight. My mum and my aunt (from Finland) have been talking 'did you know Finland and GB are playing Ice Hockey in the World Championships?' and I can say yes, and they are watching it live as well, is absolutely brilliant, and then GB saying up with the win over France in overtime is absolutely brilliant!! I can't stop smiling!!! Thanks GB Ice Hockey so much!! :-)

well i hope they move up to the big league it would be fun and its a long time ago they won (1936 Winter Olympics)
@jeffthorpe185525 күн бұрын
Most of the players on that 1936 team were Canadians. They were British born and moved to Canada when they were young, subsequently learning the game in Canada. One player learned the game in the UK, one other learned in Germany or Switzerland. There were only 12 or 13 on the rosters in those years. And curtesy of J. F. Ahearne, known as Bunny, who finagled his way to be able to recruit them from the senior amateur ranks in Canada to get them to return to the UK. So GB was not really a strong hockey playing country and still is not.

Field hockey is literally only more popular because of the big population of countries that play it. Ice hockey would be way more popular. In fact way way way more if more Americans played it. But here in the USA we only watch hockey, we leave the playing to the canadians. We are shit. 4th every year smh
