If we're limiting it to what we can carry, I'd take Marshal Law: Fear & Loathing, some issues of Giffen's Justice League run, the complete Bone trade, the Crisis On Infinite Earths trade, Marvels, and From Hell.

I need more parameters. How much weight. Bleach, Dragonball. When that X-Factor omnibus finally shows up. Dark Phoenix saga, X-men annual 10. Crisis. DD born Again… and then paper and art supplies so I could do my own stuff.

Off the top of my head I'd say Berserk, Maison Ikkoku, Invincible and Blade of the Immortal.

There's only so many times you can read a story but art never gets old. (I'll bet you don't keep your Cherry Pop Tart comics for the stories.) Why do you think people hang paintings on their walls? There are a bunch of comics I've owned for 60 years. I've long since gotten rid of the ones that I didn't think as much of the art. I'd take Kirby (starting in the 60s), Neal Adams, Jim Steranko, and Barry Smith as a good start. The best stories are in real books. I only keep ones worth re-reading and go through the best about every 10 years. In the 2020s so far I've re-read all my Heinlein and Asimov, almost done with Niven and doing the Frank Herbert Dune novels.

I assumed the question was a flood happens and your stuff is destroyed, and everything more important than comics is already made safe, you have some extra room for comics, what would you take? I would probably just take whatever was the most expensive or the hardest to get. If it's about what you like the most, my favorite comic TPB is Green Lanterns Vol. 1: Rage Planet--would I take that with me though, to read? No, I'd probably just be with my family for those few weeks while everything is hectic. Is it a ending of the world thing? Then one would I guess want to try to Preserve like Alex Ross' Artwork or something. Regardless, how much are we even allowed to take? If I could, I guess I would take almost all of it.

For me it would be Invincible and Watchmen also, as well as Planetary, The Authority, Kingdom Come, Fantastic Four by Waid & Wieingo, X-Men: Asgardian Wars, X-Men: Supernovas, the two Uncanny X-Men issues where Khulan Gath takes over Manhattan, the Star Wars Thrawn Trilogy from Dark Horse comics, Lanfeust of Troy, Cixi of Troy, all the Ekhö: The Mirror World books, and the Fourth Power and the Star Conspiracy. It may seem like a lot, but it still a whole lot less than what Perch has to haul up that hill with all these My Hero Academia Volumes.

Ohhh this is a fun one. I love videos like this. I grab my 6 volume hardcover set of Starman by James Robinson I got signed, my Thor by Walt Simonson omnibus, my Tales of Asgard hardcover by Kirby/Lee, Doctor Strange by Ditko/Lee omnibus and my Godzilla Rulers of Earth TPBs.

Going with an obscure #1 pick with "The Mice Templar", but it's a crazy good fantasy story and the only comic I've ever read that was able to discuss (thinly disguised) Christian theology with any actual depth. #2 has got to be Dark Horse's original "Knights of the Old Republic" run. Best Star Wars story in the comics format, period. After that, it gets pretty difficult to pick, but I'd probably grab my Complete Edition of "Bone" if I had to grab just one. And don't get me started on manga, I'd never be able to narrow that down.

Also on the Texas drivers thing , as a Texan I can tell you most of us suck at driving ... and I mean S U C K ! in town 15 mph and write your mom a letter to tell her you're thinking about turning left . On the highway - put the petal to the floor and don't let up till the engine melts . Also pass whenever , who cares about a double yellow line or oncoming traffic !
