My daughter was saying the other day we havent visited for a few years and we are very local so no more excuses. We used to be season ticket holders when she was little. I had forgotten how beautiful it is there. Quite a few new sculptures I notice. My favourite place has to be the Italian garden. Stunning and restful. We love the viaduct too and park at Ardingly Reservoir - its three fields away from it.

Hard to pick a favourite garden but having visited pre lockdown I still have to pick the sudden arrival at the Italian garden with its waterlilies in that spectacular elevated position. Lucky for me my cousins live in West Sussex. Maybe I'll make it across the pond next year. In the mean time, I'm enjoying this while my own roses are taking a break after flowering last month. Hot here, though not as crazy as the rest of California. I should be able to do some gardening after 6pm. I need to catch up on your garden videos. Cheers!

Quite incredible how they managed to built that viaduct. We had no idea it even existed until the morning of our visit and looking at local things to see near the gardens. Equally had never heard of the gardens. It was just on the list of places we could visit with our historic houses cards and so glad we found it. You think you know your own country but there are so many places yet to be discovered. Good luck with the gardening!
