VeroGuard Chief Executive Nic Nuske says there have been some “great initiatives” from the government regarding cybercrime.
“We’re seeing initiatives around educating people, we’re seeing initiatives around sharing and collaborating,” he told Sky News Australia.
“There are some very simple things that are being done in other countries around the world, that our government would be able to adopt and be able to make some significant impact towards our objective of being one of the world’s leaders in Cyber security by 2030.”
Mr Nuske said as a crime, cybercrime “overtook” illicit drugs.
“It’s very well organized, it’s extremely sophisticated.”
