Bulk carrier Wilfred Sykes had some scary moments on November 25, 2021, when mechanical failure caused it to lose steering as it approached the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, Michigan. After dropping anchor to prevent it from colliding with the seawall near the US Coast Guard station and the Dunn Paper plant, the freighter was towed to safety by the Manitou. It happened on Thanksgiving, and we're grateful that no one was injured.
Special thanks to Genny for capturing the video!
