Great NBA Players with WORSE College stats than Bronny James!
LeBron’s Son: Bronny James had declared for the 2024 NBA draft after playing just 25 games, averaging 4.8 PPG, 2.8 TRB, 2.1 AST, and roughly 1 Steal per game. His shooting percentage is a little low at 36.6% and glancing over a stat sheet you would think that his future in the NBA will be put into question. Well in this video I would like to share stat lines of Great NBA Players with arguably worse College stats than Bronny.

Westbrook: Stayed at UCLA until he got his numbers up in his sophomore year Draymond: Stayed at Michigan State all 4 years Butler: Spent his freshman year at a JuCo, then spent his remaining 3 years at Marquette Stockton: Spent all 4 years at Gonzaga I get what you're saying, but notice how all of these guys STAYED in college and got better. Which is exactly what Bronny needs to do. Declaring for the draft and going the nepo route will only hurt his progression.

I mean he will probs be on a two way contract and won’t get that many minutes but he can use the practises and G League time to develop his skills and if he decides to not join the league cuz he doesn’t think it’s best for him he can go back to college

This whole system you used is super flawed. You shouldn’t compare bronnys freshman stats to the freshman stats players who played multiple years in college and then became nba stars. Nobody is arguing that it’s impossible for bronny to become an nba star, we are arguing that he needs more years to develop in college like almost all these stars had. Good intent I guess but really misleading

That’s the wrong Devin Booker🤦‍♂️ The one that went to Kentucky only played one year and 4.5 points wouldn’t get you drafted in the lottery. Also, this whole video is a bit misleading because Bronny got way more playing time than most these other guys and had similar stat lines.

But none of these players declared for the draft after their freshmen year. This video just shows why Bronny needs to stay in college to develop his game more like the players mentioned. Even if he's drafted next season, he's going to get like 1-2MPG as a 12th man only playing during garbage time which is horrible for his development.

Bronny isn't actually going to be like a regular draft pick. Could you imagine him being drafted by like Charlotte or Detroit or Memphis and LeBron actually playing a year in a small market or lower tier city?
@jake8748
@jake8748 2 ай бұрын
Timberwolves have a late first IIRC this year. Perfect risk for them is they could snag Lebron for 1 or 2 years alongside KAT, Gobert and Ant. Lebron brings some playoff experience and still some solid play and if Bronny develops might be able to take over for Conley in the future. If he doesn't there's alot of questions in the later part of the first round anyway. IMO if any team is making that gamble its one of these young teams with championship hopes but no experience. Thunder, Wolves, Rockets, Magic maybe even Spurs if he drops to 2nd round, or teams already tied to the family- Cavs, Heat or Lakers.

@@zachhamilton8024 That’s only because the NCAA didn’t allow freshmen to join varsity squads prior to 1972. For the record, Kareem’s JV squad scrimmaged against the varsity team and won by 15 points - the same team that had won the previous two championships. Kareem averaged something like 33 points and 21 rebounds his freshman year, and his squad beat opposing teams by an average of like 50+ points. He was already being compared to Bill and Wilt at that point. But sure, keep telling us how bad Kareem was in his freshman year. 🤡
