Susan Polgar is a Hungarian-American chess grandmaster. Polgar was Women's World Chess Champion from 1996 to 1999. On FIDE's Elo rating system list of July 1984, at the age of 15, she became the top-ranked female chess player in the world.

I thought you were going to say that Susan was the strongest Pulgar until Judit turned 10. Judit was the youngest grandmaster ever at one point, surpassing Fischer until Karjakin took her crown.

I remember seeing a chess documentary once, mainly about Fischer, and Sofia Polgar spoke about how he stayed at the Polgar house for a while, and how he was acting crazy often. And they showed a blitz tournament where Sofia was playing and beating an older Korchnoi, who got mad and then they trash-talked a bit, that was fun to watch.

1989 was a very good year for me as a homeless guy in NewYorkCity --- selling stuff on 6th ave & hanging out in WashingtonSquarePark playing & watching chess-games.

i think it is very telling that I could think about the position for days and never see the lines Susan was probably able to spot withing a couple of minutes.

First game, Bf5 would have been interesting to analyze, stopping Ke4. Second game, Bf3 with the idea of Bh5 could have temporarily stopped the rook mate
