the title mislead me into thinking something exciting was going to happen

Sorry! I was farming for Rosaria's covenant, and they were the most fun people to play with, so I wanted to share (That's why it was "the best" moment for me). In order to not look as misleading, I've changed the title to something more appropriate, thanks for the comment!

Dark Souls 3 was terrible. Worst Soulsborne.

I think it was a fun game, my only criticism is how some areas feel a bit less "unique" since many seem to be inspired by either DemS (Irithly dungeon), DSI (Catacombs, Demon Ruins, Irithly) and DSII (Undead Settlement, Archdragon Peak), meanwhile some very interesting and original areas (Profaned Capital) are very short. I also dislike how there aren't many secrets to discover,In DSII for example, you'd be reward for exploring anywhere basically, while in DSIII you only get rewarded for exploring only half of the time. Overall I think the gameplay is great (despite the Miracle Nerf...)

@@MisterCavalier It's a highly unpopular opinion but it is also brutaly honest from my perspective. And yeah, exactly the reuse of locations is a major misplaced fan service in my opinion. The gameplay was classic and thus fine, everything else was not, no inovations, nothing.

@@OkThxBye1 I'd say one of the biggest offender to the gameplay was the removal of dual wielding on weapons (I know some weapons come in "combos" but that's not what I am focusing on), I didn't used it a ton on DSII, but I still think it was something really unfortunate for those who liked it. Though weapon arts are really cool, but not always useful. Nevertheless the original areas (Lothric, both hidden areas and both DLCs) were def the best part of the game.

@@MisterCavalier Ahh yeah right, they also removed poise entirely right? That actually broke it for me back than. I was so glad Elden Ring was more of a sequel to the Dark Souls series. Only making no real factions/content were a step back. Dark Souls 2 had alot right. I think people put their critics and thumb on the wrong areas, alot of times.

@@OkThxBye1 They didn't remove poise, they instead reworked poise to attacks. Basically, if you stand still, you can get staggered no matter your poise (same applies to most enemies), however, when swinging/casting then poise takes direct effect, letting you finish your swing and get a hit. *From my personal experience* this made _almost_ no difference, even in PVP, rapid attack weapons/greatswords felt like the same thing (even when I was wearing the Catarina Armor Set), I'd just get my poise broken no matter what (even when I had 43% poise, something considered really high). Of course, if you want an in depth explanation I'd recommend seeing an actual pro/data-miner take on the subject since I ain't really a good player in PVP neither researched the subject in extreme depth (tho I tried). In short : -In DS1 you get armor (let's you take hits without getting staggered) -In DS2 you get armor and hyperarmor (let's you take hits without getting staggered, even in mid attack animation without losing balance) -In DS3 you get hyperarmor (let's you take hits during attack animation without losing balance) And DS2 is a real hit or miss in some aspects, probably due to it being extremely experimental (which is something I'm always interested in!).
