Great Southern Rail Trail Series Intro and Nyora

We start our series on the Rail Trails in Victoria, commencing with the Great Southern Rail Trail. Nyora is the beginning of the trail from the Western end. We are also reviewing our new Folding ebike.
Nyora to Loch approx 5.8km
If you cross the park area in Nyora there is also a chemist, medical practice, cafe, and post office.
Cafe is open till 4pm weekdays and 1pm Saturday. It's worth checking current opening times as we found a couple of web references that differed.
We have been asked (Thank You, great feedback) to add accommodation for towns we visit.
As we have already completed our Nyora visit for now, we are adding some details we found here.

it gets even better up further beautiful country side i ride it from nyora to korumburra and back nearly every day looking to go further on cheers trev

Yeah there are some great areas. We will be highlighting many as we progress through the towns and all the areas in between.

The Great Southern Rail Trail has just recently been extended from Welshpool to Alberton, so you can do the whole trail to Yarram and/or Port Albert on what was the Terra Rail Trail. I am guessing that you will be able to include this in a future episode. BTW, Nyora was the setting for the ABC TV series 'Something In The Air' about a small town radio station.

Hi. we added the connection from Yarram to Welshpool in our map for the Loch episode. I haven't been all the way down there as yet, but that is the plan. Thanks for the information and feedback, really appreciate it.

Hi, yes, we realised after the upload Id left probably the most obvious part out. It's about 6km. I will be adding this to episode 2 which will be out this coming weekend. Really appreciate the feedback, and thanks for watching.

is there a car parking near the nyora station? I'm planning to ride from nyora to leongatha

Hi, Yes there is parking at the end of the Park Area and the street running through the town. I dont think you would have any trouble parking a car near the trail in Nyora.
