I’m shocked Daniel Cormier didn’t make the Top 10. He started MMA at 30 and finished at 41. In 11 years he came into StrikeForce, won the Grand Prix, snapped Jeff Monsoon’s 8 fight win streak, took out Bigfoot Silva, and capped it off with a win over Josh Barnett who was a Top 3 Heavyweight at that time. Dominates Frank Mir and Roy Nelson in the UFC before moving to 205lbs and getting wins over Hendo, Rumble twice, Gus, & Oezdemir. Finally moves back to HW and knocks out the goat of the division to claim the belt, and dominates Derrick Lewis. He’s a simultaneous double champ, first to successfully defend two belts, 4 title defenses, and has a 15 fight win streak. Only lost to the greatest fighter of all time and the greatest Heavyweight of all time. Cherry on top, outside of MMA he’s a multi-time wrestling gold medalist. One of the most respectful combat careers ever.

Anderson and Fedor to me should both be ahead of everyone except Bones, GSP & maybe DJ. I don't weigh post prime losses so heavily. The key is more beating everyone there was when you were in your prime - not overly penalizing continuing to fight when they just weren't who they were.

Argument for Jones: Undefeated, most (big) title defences Argument for Khabib: Undefeated, took no damage, most dominant Nobody denies that Jones has the most achievements when it comes to titles, the argument that is brought up for Khabib being the goat is just a different one. If you take title defences and wins as the highest criteria, then nobody can deny Jones. If you take dominance as the main criteria, then there is noone close to Khabib. And even if his early record might be "padded" like some might say, he still literally walked through the elite of the UFC and most likely would have continued doing so. It's basically admitting the top of the UFC had to offer were fighters that got wiped by someone with a "padded" record. It's a foolish argument. That's just my point of view.

I think people really underrate nunes being on this list. I understand womens mma isn't nearly as high level, but neither is the heavier weight classes compared to lower weight classes (slimer margin obviously). Aldo cannot be the featherweight goat. Every great featherweight he fought he lost to. Conor Mcgregor(literally lost in 13 seconds), Max holloway x2, and Volkanovski. Meanwhile Volk beat holloway x3, ortega, and had an amazing performance against makhachev. Volk is the featherweight goat hands down. Also aldo was 32 when he fought volk, and volk was still on the come up at that point. If anything, also was in his prime and volk was not. Not sure why you left that out

Excluding Jones three most impressive performances where he was clearly on PEDs and his clear loss to Dominick Reyes, Mighty Mouse and GSP both have more title wins. Prior to his win against Cormier at UFC182, Jones's testosterone/epitestosterone (T/E) ratio was incredibly low, very likely resulting from banned substance use. Prior to his cancelled second fight against Cormier, he tested positive for Clomiphene and Petrozole. Prior to his 2nd win against Cormier at UFC214, he tested positive for Turinabol, an anabolic steroid. Jones then tested positive for ‘pulsing’ Turinabol before his next fight against Gustafson, no evidence has ever been provided that Turinabol can pulse and they had to change the location because the Nevada commission would not let him compete. It’s reasonable to include in the GOST list, athletes who popped one or maybe twice however, Jon Jones whole legacy has been brought into question.

I know earlier you mentioned that in terms of skill, most middleweights and above would not make the list just because the lower weight classes are that much more competitive. For example, while I agree that Khabib is not the greatest fighter of all time in terms of accomplishments, I personally have him as the Best MMA fighter of all time because I believe that his style would beat everyone. Aldo was not in his prime against Max 😂 if you watched him from his best years to then he was not as mobile, durable, quick, and even stopped utilizing the brutal leg kicks he’s known for at times.
