So, here's the funny thing. "Roosevelt" is actually a man named Marius Lauber. In live shows, he has a band, but in studio recordings, he plays all of the instruments himself and then edits the clips together to make the song. In this video, yes, he had a band, but in studio he does everything.

they are not a band! everything you hear is recorded solely by Marius Lauber. the rest of the people are just friends he asked to play in the video. bassist here has some nice moves but he's just playing playback in the video. love you roosevelt!

Oh God every element of this song is so amazing. The bassline is funky as it gets, the delay and reverb on the vocals and guitars and keys, the super danceable drums. These dudes look like they're having a ton of fun playing too. Great, great band.

Roosevelt is so tight. Their mixing is the best for a band who stays out of the way of mainstream. Lead singers' voice is going to be memorable forever though.

Wow, 13,000,000 views. I still remember the day I started to listen Roosevelt, it's was friday, one teacher used to play music in the classroom while we were working, suddenly I heard the melody of "Around You" and the bass of "Montreal"... I ask him who they were and he just said "It's a german guy by the name of Roosevelt". Me as a metalhead I was so thrilled and amazed by the sound of it, felt in love. Then that night I search him and found out that he just had like 5 songs on YT that time hahaha, he had like 200,000 views or something, was kinda sad, I wanted more of that music. I even started to listen to his old boy band "Beat Beat Beat" haha (Great music btw). Some months later he started to release "Night Moves" and "Hold On"... and well, here we are.

Hey I know that same feeling. I'm a Christian artist who's been needing a refresh of music pallet and a friend sent me this. And my gosh! It changed the way I've viewed music and how I would make my songs sound forever. And also knowing that not of lot Christian artist praise God with a synth 80s vibe like this. Now I just aspire to make synth dance Christian music. I can't stop listening to this! But yeah there's no words to describe this!
