Curtis also had a helluva' good run on Sale Of The Century in the mid 80's!! Smart dude, for sure!! And I think he was an OS, also!
@colinwilcox42668 жыл бұрын
+greg errautt not that smart, just that American game shows are much simpler than UK and European shows. take millionaire as a typical example.

Your "basis of argument" is,...how shall I put this nicely...fuggin' DUMB!! Naturally, it'd be a virtual impossibility for me to prove, HOWEVER,...with this being said, I would not hesitate to wager 100 quid on the probability that Curtis Warren's I.Q. is at least EQUAL TO,...if not (very probable) HIGHER than that of Colin Wilcox's. But I TOTALLY get the "jab" for which you're (half-arsedly/unsuccessfully) attempting to pull-off here; Brits are to brain surgeons, what 'mericans is ta' refuse-engineers. NEXT....!!!
@charlesfloyd37478 жыл бұрын
+Colin Wilcox 13 people have won US WWtBaM and only 5 have won in the UK, although the UK invented WWtBaM.

Elevation Nation Yes, this is the same Curtis Warren that won a ton on "Sale of the Century" in 1986. He was one of the biggest winners in the history of the show. Also worth noting, he had different wives on each show. During "Sale" he was married to Sharon. During "Greed", his wife was Phyllis. If anyone wants to see Warren on "Sale of the Century", his shows are running right now on GSN in the mornings.
@sha112358 жыл бұрын
+FireCracker3240 I didn't realize that. Of course, I was younger when Sale came on and didn't watch it religiously due to being at school at the time.
@sha112358 жыл бұрын
+FireCracker3240 I hope he invested wisely in his winnings on both shows.
@FireCracker32408 жыл бұрын
sha11235 I was also pretty young when Sale was on during it's original run. Luckily, as an adult, I was able to watch a bunch of episodes on GSN. I got really invested in this great game. I remember Curtis Warren specifically (along with some other big winners), as he had a really long run. Here's to hoping he did invest all of his winnings well.
@maggosh12 жыл бұрын

This is literally the only moment on Greed when someone won the top prize.
@danalong12377 жыл бұрын
Before that, Daniel Avila had a chance to win $2,200,000, but came up one answer short!
@mrbow500016 жыл бұрын
Dana Long Had another shot at $1million but again 1 answer short
@Amisbro6 жыл бұрын
true story about that moment When I was living at home with my mother and brother me and my brother watched the show in our bedrooms and when Daniel went for it I thought he was going to get it and then the final answer came up wrong and my brother flat out walked over to my room (it was basically next door separated by a closet) and said he though the show was rigged I don't think the show was "rigged" but can someone tell me what smell "Chocolate" has (cos yes the question was about "smells" if I remember right)
@cutemimi256 жыл бұрын
Yeah, he picked "Tuna" instead of "Chocolate"
@andrewschroy63686 жыл бұрын
And a couple of shows after Curtis' big win, Daniel had a chance to win $1,000,000-- same result as his $2.2M attempt.

I wonder why they didn't get Curtis Warren for the "Ask the Expert" lifeline for the clock version of WWTBAM. He would've killed TONS of those questions!

Curtis had already won over $136,000 on Sale of the Century in 1986 before appearing on Greed. And I think he was also on Win Ben Stein's Money.

I will never forget when I first saw this episode (I taped it)! This happened a few days after TWENTY-ONE had the first winner break the $1,000,000 threshold! One of my favorite GREED moments, and Curtis Warren also won big on $ALE OF THE CENTURY, having cleared the Winner's Board and won the $50,000 bonus!

Now more of them have hit the big screen since this aired.

Let's get one thing straight--this is not staged, rigged, fixed, etc. It is illegal to rig a game show due to the quiz show scandals of the 1950s. Again--THIS...IS...NOT...STAGED!

From 4:09, some of the credits appeared and the production card (Dick Clark Productions). Then, half the credits started again with the same background (where they do the introduction for Greed) 'til it reaches to "(C) MM dick clark productions and FOX Broadcasting Company all rights reserved." and another production card (20th TELEVISION) appeared. That's what I love about the credits and the show on GAME SHOW network for syndication.

There were actually 5 right answers at the time this was made. Miami Vice: The Movie (1985) was the 5th correct answer.

Yes, it's the same Curtis Warren. He obviously divorced (or was widowed) and remarried during the years between Sale and Greed.

I forget but I DO know there is an episode of Jim Perry's "Sale of the Century" that he appeared on and I forget how he did there. During the Million Dollar Moment, a player has 30 seconds to review the question and then 10 to give their four answers or they win nothing.
@omalor14 жыл бұрын
this looks like it was staged.
@omalor14 жыл бұрын
@BlackwoodCompany it looks too perfect, he got all 4 answers quickly, he had too much charisma like, you know, an actor, it all looks like it was rehearsed before to show the winning of over a million dollars and therefore boost the show's ratings.
@paypaysmygirl7 жыл бұрын
this guy is an actor,no human would act like that while on the verge of winning 1.4 mil
@Amisbro6 жыл бұрын
you gotta be cool under pressure. If you get rattled that makes you not be able to think straight and then you botch it. That's one thing I always will give this dude its that he was so cool under pressure and you legit couldn't rattle him. One of the best it would seem
@hiltonlive32grnrngr6 жыл бұрын
Not an actor. He's acting like that because he's confident and knows all the right answers.
@angelaweaver38676 жыл бұрын
How's he supposed to act?
@iiwatcher13 жыл бұрын
Curtis was definitely an actor & a bad one at that. Think the Jeffersons white boy wigga (actor Jay Hammer) from the later episodes. I'm talking shit acting. I speak from experience at the highest level. Everything here smells scripted to me. he was a shitty actor throughout the whole show if you pay attention. It's not even convincing in the slightest as far as I'm concerned. I'm talking low-level soap opera acting at best. IMO, this shit was staged.
