Anytime you change a cylinder in a revolver, you have to make sure it's still in time, otherwise the gun could blow up in your hand. He was listening for proper hammer and hand engagement with the cylinder.

Assuming he’s changing to a different caliber & bullet diameter he would need to do a little more than swap cylinders.. unless it’s 38special to 357mag or something similar. Couldn’t tell how far the cartridge went in the cylinder from the video, but I assume it didn’t go in far at all, indicating the diameter of the cartridge is bigger than the cylinder. If it went most of the way in, the diameter could be correct but cylinder isn’t chambered for it. (Like trying to put .22mag in .22lr cylinder. Same diameter but the mag is considerably longer

Point being, if the diameter of the cartridge is to big (trying to put 44mag in 357mag chamber) you’d need more than a cylinder swap. Correct me if I’m wrong, love to learn

@@goinhot9133, you're correct, in the case of cartridge revolvers, if one were to change calibers, one would need to change the the cylinder and the barrel at least, and depending on the size difference, an entirely different frame might be required. If one were to change from a .38 central to a .44/40 for example, the frame would be a different size. The scene would've made a lot more sense if he pulled out the revolver and realized that it was set up for black powder and swapped in a cartridge conversion cylinder.

Doctor here, one reason he may have opened his shirt is too prevent scraps of it from being embedded in him with the bullet. Cloth is notoriously difficult to remove from wounds as it breaks down and disintegrates and is also highly infectious. Prior to antibiotics in war if you couldn't get all the cloth out of a wound it was practically a death sentence.

There's a scene in Master and Commander where Paul Bettany's character is accidently shot and a piece of his shirt goes inside the wound with the musket ball. The scene of him having to operate on himself to get both out is... 'something'. lol

Dr. Gerick...... SS Officer Reinhard Heydrich died of sepsis after two Czech commandos ambushed the butcher and detonated a British impact grenade in/beside his limo. It blew leather, cloth, and horse hair from the seat into his abdomen. Although treated immediately the debris caused the Nazi to die days later in agonizing pain from septic shock. I am astonished this surprises, anyone, except for the people that grab a glowing hot piece of metal to cauterize a gunshot wound.

The Revolver scene was a tribute to "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" but I think it was also to showcase Keanu's skills with Firearms/Gunsmithing. I used to work for a gun store (and miss it, just didn't pay well enough) and our gunsmith used to work with a lot of single action revolvers and luckily I was able to help assemble and fix a lot of them, along with many other weapon platforms. But every thing he did in that scene was entirely accurate to what you have to do when putting a new cylinder on a revolver, or rechambering the revolver. As for the fact that he did all that just to fire one shot, drop it and run, very unrealistic lol. It would make sense if there were only 2 guns and one wasn't operational in that caliber, so he would swap it to an operational revolver in a different caliber, but waste of time for one shot. Still a great scene for the tribute and the accuracy of gunsmithing.

What I take from it is that those assassins weren't going to stop chasing him until they're dead. He could keep running and avoiding them, but eventually he'll have to deal with them. I don't know why he only chambered one round, maybe it was the only one that fit, but spending 2 minutes prepping to kill someone and then eliminating them is probably more preferable than spending 2 minutes fighting them just to do the same thing. But that's just my take.

@@DamienBlade I figured that it had to do with the case only containing one round and the assembled pistol not being the most accurate along with the caliber issue. I figured that was the reason Clint rebuilt the pistol in the movie as to make sure it was the better shooting pistol.

Part of the reason he runs the way he does, is that the action takes place in a span of 2-3 weeks, so the body is reacting to every shot, punch, and stab. The reason for the dad bod, is that the character was retired for a few years before his wifes death , so Wick isn't in the same shape he would've been if he was working full time.

Ive fallen off a roof once doing sheetmetal roofs, it was an 18' fall. Managed to land feet down and roll out i was ultimately ok, but my legs and back hurt like a mf for a few days. I stayed on the ground for a few minutes just to mental check, "Ok no bones sticking out, nothing pointing the wrong way, no blood must be ok."

I've been both hit by a car and fallen off a roof. I roofed for 5 yes and all of the older guys had fall stories. In high-school , a dude ran into me on purpose with a 1970s VW bug. He goosed it and then hit the brakes as he hit me in the ass and I got slung several feet into picnic tables. I fell off the backside of a walkout basement but luckily it was a very steep decline I fell on . Tumbling down the rocky hill tore me up far worse than the fall.

Lmao, so true, I’m a retired NYC Paramedic that put in 24 years and have been dispatched to countless people hit by cars, a lot of them at speeds lower then in those scenes and people can get FU*KED up, broken legs, broken arms, when their heads smack the pavement or curbs they can get 2 kinds of bleeding in the brain, if you rupture a vein it called a sub-dural bleed and the symptoms don’t really start until several hours or even days after, then their is those who rupture an artery called sub-arachnoid and those are the ones who usually don’t wake back up when unconscious, if they do within an hour or 2 they get a severe headache, can’t look at any bright light called photophobia, and they’ll go back unconscious pretty quickly and start posturing showing increased intercranial pressure and if not treated emergently their brain will will herniate down their spinal cord column which is a death sentence, their pupils will be uneven or fully dilated and non reactive.

If I'm remembering correctly, I saw a Keanu Reeves interview where the dogs got comfortable with Halle Berry over time but the handlers told him not to look the dogs in the eyes because they would attack him. Absolutely wild. Great video, guys! Side note: The green lights were an homage to The Matrix lobby scene. The director of this movie was Keanu's stunt double in The Matrix films.

Anyone that had animals like that would be given the warning that if you cant control your animal and they attack me, after I kill them you would be next. I had to tell a friend that once when he told me his Rottweiler could attack me, so I checked my concealed carry while looking him in the eye and he put the dog up for the rest of the night.

@@alericc1889 So first off, these dogs re not pets as was said, they are weapons. that's like saying if I look down the barrel of a pistol and it goes off, if it doesn't kill me I'm going after the gunsmith. ...well no it's not the gunsmith's fault it's your shitty weapon's handling (in that case). Rule 1 of working around attack dogs is never look them in the eyes unless you're their handler. Animals see that as a challenge and that dog is higher on the food chain than you if he wants to be so challenging them is not a good idea if you wish to remain alive. Have a stare down with a dog or cat that is a pet someday, see how they treat you after the first few days. They'll get aggressive because you're being a dick. Also, if you had done that at my home I would have told you to get the fuck out of my house. ...and no not because you had a gun, I'm a Marine. I love guns, love weapons and firmly believe in the 2nd Ammendment. It's because you were being a dick with it. You don't pull a concealed carry to show you're serious, you pull it when something needs to die or you are putting it up for the night, "maybe" in the setting of a home, to unload and show your friend, not as a "look how serious I am" chip. That my friend would be called "brandishing a firearm" and that is a crime, something I'm sure you learned to pick up your CC permit, if you even have one to begin with. Edit to add "and he put the dog up for the rest of the night" whose home is it again? yours? or your friend's and that dog's. You just came in as a guest and because you felt threatened had the dog isolated from it's normal territory under threat of death. The proper way to deal with such a situation would be "look man if your dog could attack me I don't really feel comfortable chilling here, wanna hit the (insert public place not inhabited by possibly dangerous animals) or go back to my place? You know I carry and man if it comes down to it and it's your dog or me it's going to be your dog and I don't want that to happen, guessing you don't either." See how that's not threatening and not pulling a gun out at a friends house as a threat? But sure, be the badass. People like you who treat their guns and their right to carry them like this are what give good carriers a bad name.

Btw: “Nobody” and “Atomic Blonde” were both created primarily by 8711 Studios which is the stunt production company behind John Wick, same main guys: David Leitch & Chad Stahelsky along with the same screenwriter Derek Kohlstadt. It’s actually supposed to exist in the same universe. And if you look closely you’ll see many of the same bad guys lol. 8711 actually requires anyone on screen go thru intense training & main characters complete the “John Wick boot camp” like Bob Odenkirk, Halle Berry, Common, Ruby Rose and others have all said.

I believe the ar platform rifles in the ending building fight scene were 9mm pistol caliber carbines from taran tactical. From what i remember in the movie, john was having to shoot them in the actual face because the 9mm couldn’t penetrate any of their armor. It didn’t make sense to me when i found that out because i figured he would’ve taken a rifle caliber just in case to defeat more armor with only minor cons over bringing a pistol caliber carbine

I love the description of dogs as Fur Missiles! They are amazing creatures and can amazing things. As I write this, my German Shepherd is licking my face and begging for a treat and belly rubs. If someone doesn't work with dogs, they can be terrifying. And devastating. The need for a handler to give commands is spot on. For someone who works with dogs, the attack is like dealing with a wrestler who has 1 or 2 really good moves. Of course, in a military environment, while you are dealing with the dog, the handler is probably dumping a mag into you for screwing with his dog... A dog pack... that's effing scary. Dealt with one and I was pretty sure I was gonna get hurt. Made it out by a lot of spirals and crossing a road with traffic they weren't comfortable crossing. Horses comment was spot on, too. Horses do what they do. They can hurt you without meaning to based on size. Some bite. Some buck. Some kick. Some are the nicest things on the planet. I visited a horse rescue and had a gelding try to adopt me. That was surreal. It separated me from the group and nuzzled and kept giving me big eyes. And I felt so bad: Sorry, Thunder, I don't have anywhere to keep you. Love the comments on this one!

38:10 from what I know about dogs is that they can be trained to do whatever. So maybe Halley's character specifically trained them to seek and destroy and keep seeking on themselves. And military dogs are just not trained for that on moral grounds

I recall late one duty and finding an anaconda that was just like the turd described; it was down into the trap of the toilet and right up to on top of the seat as though he had to stand up to drop it. When he mentioned that I started laughing so hard thinking back to that.

Keanu is pigeon toed so you see his feet pointing inwards whenever he walks and runs in the movie. It’s also what creates the awkward run. And hitting the book is supposedly quieter than skin on skin contact considering that they’re in the library.

The set the mood scene with the green lights was to pay homage to The Matrix. Some of the people in this production including the Director were part of The Matrix. It’s not for story purpose at all. It’s just something like an Easter Egg

Whilst I haven't fallen out a window onto my back, I have fallen off a high vehicle and had my fall sharply stopped halfway, only to continue and end on my back. I fell backwards, cracked my back over a thin metal barrier and bounced down onto a hard floor. I was dazed, winded and in pain, stayed there for about 20 seconds but got back on my feet. Carried on with what I needed to do and for the next 4 hours I just felt bruised, after 4 hours though I was struggling to lift my arm and my grip was weak. The next morning which was about 9 hours later I couldn't lift either arm, couldn't grip anything, couldn't get up from a prone position without help as I couldn't move my neck or shoulders. Was in a chair for about 3 weeks and had to fork out for physio and osteopathy for about 8 months whilst popping whatever opioid meds I could get (which are horrible because you take a dump like once a fortnight) turned out I had a torn scapula, nerve damage and 2 broken ribs. Horrible year but point being I was fucking 97% functional, effective and unbothered for a good 4 hours after it happened. You can definitely as you say be extremely fucked up but it not be apparent for quite some time.

18:50 getting hit by cars is absolutely devastating. I know several people who were hit by cars going slow as shit and it broke arms, legs, ribs and the like. I was hit by a car in a sandbox country and I got up and felt fine with all the adrenaline but realized I couldn't walk right so I got my legs x-rayed and they were fine but it turned out I smashed my head and caught a concussion. Cars hurt, period. You're not a Terminator, you're a Jelly bag with bones and it's gonna hurt 😅

Thanks for addressing how adrenaline masks injuries. In the 18 years I worked emergency medicine I cant count how many times Ive had to tell patients they MIGHT be fine but most likely arent after any sort of high speed collision or fall. Most of the time they would come in to the emergency room days later, some in pretty bad shape and would be like, "Well the paramedics came but I felt okay, so... " Well, yea and I sincerely hope (but doubt) they explained to you why you feel fine, right now. Great medics will. Most will just tell you to sign on the line then clear the scene 🤷

The only thing I can say is that story about the turd had me in tears 😂 My uncle was SASR and CDO in Australia. SASR are trained to use and know everything about multiple firearms and munitions. An ex SASR veteran named David Everitt actually went to a munitions dump in Western Australia to steal some plastic and detcord, he decided to blow it up and set det all over the bunker, he was a km or 1000 metres away and the shockwave pushed him onto his arse. The sound was heard over 10km away 😂

In the revolver build scene, he was taking all these parts from inactive guns to build one that worked and I think it was just a challenge to John and he is making sure people will remember how he killed people not just survive. He’s the boogie man!

It's been a while since I've watched it, so don't remember the context, but I thought removing the shirt was to keep the wound clean and prevent infection. In Master and Commander there's a scene where they pull a musket ball out and check the piece of cloth pulled out with it fits the hole in the shirt.

10:14 many people seemed to have overlooked WHY Wick built the revolver to start. As it turns out, the place he’s in is likely a museum given the various weapons from different eras on display. Most museum guns are deactivated in one way or another, so Wick is building a fully functional revolver since the cylinder was plugged and used a new barrel in case that was plugged as well. The scene also pays homage to another revolver-building scene from “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.” Even some firearms related museums have some of the internals removed or the guns are just so exotic that shooting them would likely result in a malfunction on the first round.

Would you guys ever consider looking at some of the scenes in the Bourne films? The scene in Bourne Legacy in the house might be interesting as far as whether the characters are making sound tactical decisions or just being stupid. Whether certain weapon systems (like the one Aaron Cross shoots the drone with) would work for the situations they're in or whether certain shots (like the aforementioned) are possible might also be interesting to take a look at.

As far as the getting hit by car, it's definitely 💯 adrenaline and disorientation... I got hit by car and thrown over it into road... I was calm and asking the guy if his car was alright... tried to stand up and couldnt.. I had snapped my hip and tore my knee up and was covered in road rash,just didn't realize it until I tried to stand up and couldnt..

Great Video like always guys! Going back to counting rounds in your gun while in a gun fight reminds me of the cartoon show Archer which would be a great show for you to react to. It's a special talent the main character has where he always knows how many rounds he and his enemies have left.

Speaking on getting hit by a car, I've never been. BUT, I fell ~5 feet off a stationary train once and got up and walked away. And then found out 2 weeks later that I broke all the ribs on the left side of my body. Thought it was just a really bad bruise. (Ended up re-breaking them later on, from the extremely violent action of...coughing.)

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but the reason the doctor got shot was more as a way to show that he paid the price for helping John, similar to how they cut the other dude 7 times, one for every round of ammo he supplied john

Somehow, I'm intrigued by "Nobody," as it was written by the same writer who wrote the "John WIck" films and was also produced by the same studio, 87Eleven, and it's even been hinted that "Nobody" is in the Wick universe. Also, if you want an interesting movie to react to, there's a 1995 Disney comedy called "Opertion Dumbo Drop," which stars Ray Liota, Danny Glover, and Denis Leary, in which Liota and Glover are Green Berets during the Vietnam War who have to get a village a new elephant after the NVA kill the first one. I'd say it's one of Disney's best live-action movies, and the comedy's good, considering it's one of the few family-frinedly Vietnam movies made, but I'm not saying it's perfect and I'm sure there are inaccuracies, so I'd love to get y'all reactions to it. Keep uo the great content!

As someone whos been hit on two occasions by FAST moving vehicles... yes you can get up from it... no you are not okay and you're not walking very far. I got hit by a bus (it ran a red light) in an intersection while I was on a bike. I bounced like 30 ft. I stood up and before I could even take one step I fell right back down and uttered "oh fuuuu" on my way down. The other time I was roller blading in the street as a kid where i shouldnt of been roller blading as it was a busy highway at dusk. I got hit by a little geo metro going 40 mph and i went up and over the car. I remember getting up and thinking to myself "wow that was cool just like the movies!" and i woke up a week later in the hospital in a damn near full body cast.

Check out the wrestler from Coffeyville, Ks back in the 90's and early 00's named Earl Jones. His leg was bitten off by a horse when he was 9ish. He then went on to become a multi time state champ in kids club, 4 time state champ in high school and I believe he went on to earn national champion for Oklahoma State.

The comment you made on the Hemsworth fitness program is spot on. The problem is proving his program a scam is near impossible. My friend (I know you heard this many times), who is a fitness coach, said the fitness industry is a lucrative business with no group or committee to hold fitness coaches accountable or call fitness coaches scammers. Second I can't remember if it was Power Bottom or you about how fitness coaches are influenced by business figures to juice or get fat on purpose to make a product sellable or convincing which is similar to the V Shred merchandise. The Ruck Trainer is Awesome. It's better than loading a 45lb plate onto a rucksack, and the weight is hitting your ass. Let your fingers know they did a good job undoing them knots. Lastly, is Delta Farce on the review list?

I didnt know about the Good Bad Ugky reference, but what I do know is that early revolvers that used firing caps and balls sometimes people carried fully loaded cylinders to replace their current cylinder. It was an early way to try and create rapid relading before complete cartridges existed. Then the first cartridge guns were based on these same revoilvers, so the first revolvers that used actual loaded cartridges did sometimes have the ability to replace cylinders until the loading and ejecting was updated where you could dump them all at once.

You would think the hotel would be set up with counter measures for NODs (go lights out, wait til a group is in a room/hallway and then blind them with light. Then attack before their eyes adjust.) Maybe strobes or something that could negate thermal too? You’d think John Wick would have thermal… that’s serious business, not 9mm major

I was in a exercise and I had the night vision that is used in french army and that thing cover the two eyes so I didn't have good deep perception and I'm getting them off bcs I see better in complete dark while I'm running so I won't fall off

I slipped off a goat path, in east Africa, with a 60 lb ruck. Landed on the switchback 12-15 feet below, and I walked a half mile out to our vehicle! Of course, I was half carried out, The terrain was too rough for a Vic. I ended up with a spiral fracture of the fibula, and a tendon pulled off of my tibia. So, could you walk away from some shit? Yeah. But it’s going to suck to try to do it.
