Happy Earth Day everyone! Since we are celebrating our beautiful world today, it got me thinking. What are the ways in which we all can make a difference, starting with simple, attainable lifestyle shifts? I know that stepping straight into a different lifestyle can be a challenge, so I made a vlog about how to go greener at home with a few easy shifts.
In this video, I met with my friend Randy from Resolution Gardens in Austin, Texas to discuss something I started doing in our home: composting. Composting is a part of waste management that is easy once you get the hang of it, with big benefits. Composting is a small way to give back your environment and give it some loving. It reduces waste in landfills and helps our plants and flowers continue to live and thrive, benefitting both the earth and ourselves.

I would love to hear more about being more "green". I am trying to do the same things at my house, taking small steps so that they will stick and become lifelong habits. Thanks for the great video! I thought it was very inspiring. I'm really happy that you think about the earth and try to make a difference and would love to see more videos like this. My biggest action to go greener has been to go vegan. Since I learned about the impact animal products have on our earth, I decided to slowly transition into a vegan lifestyle.

Thanks for using your platform for something like this, Gen! Being in Austin and seeing how common it is (and how easy some ppl make it look!), I've given composting a lot of thought but I haven't taken the plunge myself as yet because I live in an apartment. I've heard keeping the bin in the freezer helps, but that would slow/stop the decomposition 🤔 I still plan to start composting once I've had time to reaearch and plan it out. Definitely interested in hearing about more simple yet effective ways to be green! 😄

Wonderful video! I would love if you could do more videos on living green. Talking about living green may sometimes feel like no one is listening, but a lot of people really do listen. The reason I started recycling is because a group came to my sons school and talked with them about the environment. He came home and said he wanted to recycle. That was 7 years ago and he still helps me with it everyday! Keep up the good work and share more videos like this!
