In your own home, it's easier to relax and follow the lesson. I always found it very distracting to learn in a classroom with 50 other people.

Word problems are extremely difficult. I would try pausing the video and doing the steps on your own and then unpausing. All word problems with linear equations can be solved with the same six basic steps.

Haha, I could brute force the first two in my head. Could probably spend less time doing that on a test than doing the equations (unless of course you're required to show work/it's a much larger number).

@JohnHaroldBorneo email your teacher and ask for an example to base your assignment. When you say it must have a formula, that could mean anything. Many problems involve very specific formulas such as the distance formula for solving motion word problems.
