Thats so crazy In nyc the early college schools have 600 students lol. Thats why as an educator , i advocate private and or homeschool as well.

Hi, my main concern is about school start age in Greensboro and NC in general. I have a 3 yr old daughter now attending public kindergarten and is loving it. It appears that by moving to Greensboro, she will be at home for about 2 years

Hi there! Wow where you are they start kindergarten early. Here they call it pre-school. It's usually at a church where it's called "MOther's Morning Out". Its usually 8/9am-1:00. This is private and you pay for it. Now you can do a pre-school for a 4 year old at public schools. You would need to look into that though. I'm not certain if all schools do that or not. That's a long day for your a daughter. She's a trooper! Does she go for an entire day?

@@LivingInGreensboroNC Hey, where are currently living in Finland and it full-time daycare from 6am-4pm. Here is mostly preschool/kindergarten with different age groups up to 6 years though.

Hi! very informative. Thx! Just a question: What are schools like in terms of violence and misbehavior? Both towards teachers and among students?

That's a really good question and I'm not sure I have access to those numbers. I think there are fights in all schools, I think the difference would be the frequency in my opinion.

Thanks for the info! Do you happen to know if there is a standard afterschool program in Greensboro? The one where I live now is through the elementary school, essentially sign up for no extra cost. Some places seem to offer similar programs, others partner with YMCA's or Parks and Rec as fee based options, and others don't offer afterschool at all.
