Oh my goodness, I just had mine repacked ready to return because I could not get it together. Then you mentioned you had yours upside down during this video. You saved me from returning a great tool. Thank you for not editing and keeping your videos true to your experiences.

Hi Toni. Yeah, it’s hard to see that they are just a little bit different. It’s a really good tool. I bought the extra extension piece so mine is extra long. Works great. Thanks for watching and commenting.

The advantage of brushless is that brushes never wear out. Most people throw away the equipment rather than install new brushes (cheap but may be hard to find locally). Brushless saws continue sfter shut off due to inertia. Conventional saws stop immediately. This could be a safety issue if you expect them to perform the same. I would go with brushless if I used it alot. If used rarely go with the cheaper tool.

I got the trimmer that has attachment capability so I have an edger too with it. The 16" brushless chainsaw is really good too. The smaller brushed saw is inexpensive, but not near as good as the brushless one. I also have the little cultivator I use on my raised bed gardens in the spring.
@beenflying1
@beenflying1 Жыл бұрын
The brushless chainsaw is tempting. The line trimmer has a drive shaft and can take attachments, which is great. Thanks for all your advice. Much appreciated!

@@beenflying1 I really like the edger attachment. I have a sidewalk that goes all the way around my house and about 3/4 through, my grip starts to get tired, other than that, it really works good. I can do that entire sidewalk and driveway on one battery. (The bigt one, not the smaller one)

Mine came with the middle extension piece. But, you seem to be saying extra extensions can be bought. So, you can use two extensions? I'm not finding them on Amazon. I've found my pole saw a very handy tool but that extra extension could be useful for a large magnolia that likes to grow out over our street. Thanks for your video.
@JeromeBeeFarm
@JeromeBeeFarm 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I purchased a second middle piece. It warns you not to, but I did anyway. lol I don't have it in all the time, but when working really high, it can keep your feed on the ground and stay off the ladder. It's long and hard to handle like that and is really heavy out on the end from all that leverage, but it works pretty good once you can get it positioned. I used it a lot that way this spring cleaning up after an ice storm. Here's a link to the piece: amzn.to/3oSIrVQ

You won't be disappointed. You might get an extra chain too so you always have one sharp and throw it on while you are getting the other one sharpened, or you can sharpen them yourself with a special file. There's all kinds of sharpening tools, but the easy way is to pay a mower/saw shop.

Completely different category, but I have a corded 12" Remington pole saw. Finally burnt up the first "head" (chainsaw) and working on #2. Not practical for your spread, but I can drive a vehicle out and run the saw off an inverter. You're in much better shape than me =Arms wise. When I use my limb saw I have a sore back the next day. Wrote this only with Christian thoughts but it is difficult to compliment another w/o it possibly getting read as gay. =Not me, brother! -Blessings...

Hey Og. I probably have that same remington, and also a Poulan gas one that won't idle, not even when it was new. lol That gas one will definitely wear you out. Yeah, this thing is the hot ticket and it was cheap because I already had the battery I got with the chainsaw. I couldn't believe how well it cuts. I think maybe because the motor is out there by the bar making it heavier. No worries. lol I had a sore back too and didn't do much of anything the next day. lol Keep fighting the good fight. Take care brother.

Greenworks has the worst customer service on the planet. After an hour on hold, they refused to snail-mail me the original manual that was SUPPOSED to have come in the sealed box w/ their brand new saw. Done w/ G-works. Also has a design flaw re difficulty in changing blades. not giving any hints. I'm not their unpaid consultant.
@JeromeBeeFarm
@JeromeBeeFarm Жыл бұрын
First off, it's a chain, not a blade. IF you need a manual to operate this, I can see how you would have trouble installing a new chain. Mine still works flawlessly just as in this video, and it's done a lot of work. And here's a link to the manual:lawnandgarden.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/greenworks_tools/20672.html
