I am also trans and it's genuinely so obnoxious. I hate having to stay in the closet for like half of the people (my friends families) I know, and the other half (my friends) are really supportive. It's so hurtful to come home to hear my dad listen to podcasts that say how disgusting and stupid trans people are, that they're groomers and pedophiles while I slink off to my room (I'm 18, can't move out cause I'm strapped for cash and in college). My trans friend lives with his dad and they constantly and aggressively misgender him; and have been doing so for about five years. When my boyfriend called me his 'partner' at a party my friends transphobic dad got super pissed and was like "YOUR GIRLFRIEND, I HATE when people say partner", every time the dad calls me 'girl' I feel like I'm getting stabbed with glass or something lmao. The same thing with everyone else, it's genuinely so painful when people associate me with feminine pronouns and attributes, they put me in this little box I don't want to be in. Even my boyfriend who is bi gets attacked for liking men; my dad saw a picture of him and questioned why he was so gay, he said he was 'faking his sexuality', and that it wasn't right that he was that way because he's supposed to be a 'tough carpenter' and a 'man'. Everyday I feel more and more threatened by my family, it's just sad because I've been dealing with gender dysphoria all my life since I was about five. I'm still confused on whether I want to be a trans man or nonbinary; I think I would like being nonbinary as I think both genders are incredibly sexy more but most people don't take that seriously. I've been on my journey for about six months and I feel really liberated and like who I've always wanted to be, but also confused and wished I knew more people to give me advice. It's so hard man...being trans shouldn't be political. I think it's really messed up how questioning your gender and sexuality is so taboo; I hope one day it is encouraged to question these things because questioning leads to understanding yourself better than most people realize.

The sets of all those old school live studio sitcoms had APPLAUSE and LAUGH signs; there was always a producer or director that engaged everyone about their task as an audience both before and during filming (audience coaches?); oftentimes tickets to filming were absolutely free, ensuring that every person who filled a seat really wanted to be there. Gutfeld's team could do those things. Easily, and in the process make his show infinitely better. Why they don't, I do not know. I imagine they're either absolute control freaks, or they're attempting to be "real." Probably both.

Good on you for trying to keep that away from your daughter. I grew up in a Fox News house and it helped lead me to have harmful views as a teen that I look back on with disgust now as an adult. I also don't see one of my parents anymore, offensive politics one of many reasons.

@emilyb.8219 I tell my little girl all the time that above all, it's very important to always be kind and it's going to be really hard to convince her of that if she is seeing programming and hearing things come out of her Grandma's mouth that contradict that. One of the other reasons she and I no longer speak is primarily because I really don't like the way she talks about/to herself and the way she projects her self-esteem issues on to everyone around her. I've worked really hard to make sure that I do not engage in negative self-talk at all, especially around my daughter, because I realized that my mother doing that is what gave me the blueprints on how to hate myself. Having a child of my own has made me realize how much damage my mother and other family really did to me that I did not realize until now. I'm working to take responsibility of what I can and unlearning all of the bad parenting and emotional behaviors so that I don't set my daughter up for failure. I feel like a continued relationship with my mom would result in backsliding and mixed messages and frankly, my daughter is emotional well-being matters more to me than a tenuous, fraught relationship where I was the parent more often than not anyway. I'm glad to see that you were able to find the courage and strength to break away from your family's toxicity as well, and really hope that you've been able to achieve peace and healing. Basically Ethan and his girlfriend Lex coordinated with a bunch of people to cancel SuperMega by using Lex's SA story (where the guy that allegedly did it was an employee not even SuperMega themselves). They used it to attack SuperMega, blatantly lie about them and at one point, even brought up one of their friends who took his own life and used it against them. There was even a livestream where Ethan and Lex smoked and celebrated SuperMega losing subscribers by showing their live sub count and mocking them. Eventually SuperMega responded and other creators like TurkeyTom dissected the allegations and proved that not only did they lie about a bunch of stuff, they 100% planned this to ruin SuperMega. When the group started getting backlash, both Ethan and Lex threw Nick (a guy with 700k subs who they asked to make a video about SM in the first place) completely under the bus to cover themselves. Ethan's also been attacking anyone who criticizes him on Twitter. Long story short, he used his girlfriend's SA and his friend's platform to ruin SuperMega, then cowardly hid and pointed fingers when they started getting the same treatment they caused SuperMega. That's the short version.
