The PGA tour chose to ban the players who wanted to play the LIV events, not the other way around. LIV didn't schedule over marquis PGA events or the Fedex Cup. Now they have to. The PGA Tour messed up TV golf long before this when they moved the PGA championship to earlier in the season, thinking that the FEDEX Cup would keep fans watching after the last major was played. Does it?

As soon as I heard Rory say in his recent LIV rumor dispel interview that he's going to play on the pga tour for the rest of his career, I knew he had almost certainly made a deal with the pga. That is such a bold absolute statement considering there should be a bit of uncertainty right now as to what the future looks like even if he was 99% certain he would remain on the pga, I don't think for a second he would make that statement, especially with his history of sticking his foot in his mouth as it pertains to LIV. And now we find out that he's back on the PGA board which further confirms that deals have been made and this information just isn't ready to go public yet (and for all we know his financial dealings could be under the table). The past 3 months it even appeared as though Rory was trying to put himself out there to get an offer from LIV... it seemed pretty blatant (especially on a podcast he did). If he intended to play on the pga tour forever, he would have almost certainty said that at the time to dispel any interest or possibility. He's starting to sound like Rory the politician again. He doesn't have the skills Spieth has in his interviews as a pga board member.

This makes Rory's actions make sense in regards to his hate for LIV over the past 2 years. His ego must have been crushed by not being offered over other players he thinks are inferior. Then he does a 180 quitting the board and talking nice about LIV and still no offer. Then this week he's back to maybe being on the Tour Board again? Hmmm.

Yeah, it was Rory's past agent that said he could get an offer. But he didn't word it exactly like that. Then some people ran with that. It was silly. About the agreement, I predicted talks would stall because the reason SSG came into the picture is that PGA told them that LIV had already failed and SSG could get a good chunk of the new PGA Enterprises when LIV players return. This is why they were talking about sanctions and whatnot for LIV players returning and why Rory and Tiger are getting BIG "loyalty" money from SSG. The more things change, the more they stay the same I guess. Anyways, PGA is negotiating as if LIV is collapsing. Meanwhile, PIF just wants players to be able to play wherever they want. It appears PGA has finally realized that LIV only wants access to a few select PGA events, not return completely (and PIF wants to allow PGA players to enter LIV events). I'm sure SSG has got to be pissed behind the scenes. More than likely PGA has no clue what they want or what they're doing. Too many cooks in the kitchen.

LIV tournaments are like a local bar summer shotgun scramble. PGA screwed up with elevated events and now payoffs I mean loyalty dollars. Our viewing time is better spent playing golf or practicing.

I'm curious how all the "Saudi money" haters feel about Legends such as Gary Player endorsing Saudi Golf (logo on his golf bag), and Jack Nicklaus's design company working on projects for the Saudis. Brandel Chamblee keeps harping on legacy and morals, so is he calling Gary and Jack out as well? It's okay to have personal opinions, but trying to enforce them on everyone else gets to be tiresome.

The player is Clarke if I had to guess. There’s been a few rumors that have panned out but usually rumors don’t because they are just peoples assumptions. LIv and pif are separate but they are also the same, which is why LIv has to be taken seriously. LIv is not going anywhere if for no other reasons because pif has invested so much in LIv. Pif wants to buy a piece of the pga tour as they wanted all along, but what they really want now is to buy the pga tours blessing to allow LIv to continue taking the top players without all the attempts to derail major careers. The pga tour can get more money and can get their missing players back for maybe 5-8 events each which would be huge for the ova tour and golf. Rory is officially a kardashian. Either creating drama or someone creating it for. We cannot take any information about Rory seriously at this point. The name just keeps finding a way to be click bait.

To me, it seems that Rory has simply played the PGA Tour, making it fearful he would jump ship for LIV and then allowed himself to be bribed to stay. And, it seems that others like Spieth, Thomas, Scheffler, and other "Loyalists" will also be getting their cuts of the bribe money and laughing all the way to the bank. I can't blame them for taking the money, but the PGAT is pretty lame, IMO, as Scheffler is dominating and the rest are lagging behind. The big names are gone and the PGAT seems to be trying to re-establish some relevancy again in a post-Tiger time and it's not succeeding, at least not yet.

Rory by signing with LIV can positively impact and improve all golf tours. He has had some rough golf and even didn’t make the cut at the Masters last year. I think focusing on LIV golf is Rory’s best interests. He can help all the PGAT players if Rory competes Internationally as well as the national regional tours like the PGAT. 😀

Glad to hear you’re learning about LIV…. But a lot of the questions you’re asking or are just uncovering have already been answered. You’re just not following the people in the know. And yes the PIF is like a major bank; they have a large workforce of analysts and accountants; completely separate from the LiV golf league.

The PGA tour should just concentrate on improving or consolidating their own tour and continue to do what they have done for over a 100years and that's to produce golfers it's up to LIV golf to find a way back to the PGA tour after all they have cut ties with the PGA and started their own system a closed system in fact the only thing they have in common with the PGA tour is they both hit little balls into a hole as a PGA tour supporter (although I'm open to an offer from LIV) I personally don't miss any of the players who have gone to LIV but like millions of other golf fans around the world we watched those LIV golfers build their careers on the PGA tour that's where their legacies were built on the PGA tour IF LIV golf wanted to truly have a pathway back to the PGA maybe with a cut line and a pathway for PGA tour players to enter some of LIV golf's events (54 hole events of course) then there could be a reunification until then I could happily follow the new golfing stars build their careers and legacies on the PGA TOUR
