Some may think this match is boring...but neither guy stalled and these guys are as good as it gets.

I came back to watch this match after watching a documentary on FloWrestling abt Gregor Gillespie. The season he won this national title, he was abusing prescription drugs and alcohol! Imagine how good he would've been had he lived a clean healthy lifestyle. We maybe talking him winning multiple national titles.

GG comes from along line of alcoholics so it's really in his DNA

Churrella got robbed of a title twice by officials. The match with Johnny hendri a year before this was way more egregious though.

They have had top 10 teams in past. Finished high as 2 or 3 within last 7-8 years or so. They have had way more then a handful of NCAA Div 1 champs. Program has slacked off last few years.

Good match, but they just stall and flee the mat anytime the other gets aggressive
@jt5194 жыл бұрын
Definitely, wrestlers now are more aggressive and offensive.

JT I disagree, I actually think that most wrestlers today are more cautious and calculated than they need to be, the only wrestler I’ve seen today that isn’t afraid to shoot is Zahid Valencia, Jordan Burroughs, Jason Nolf, and David Taylor. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m just saying in my opinion I think that wrestlers have gotten more careful over the years. Please don’t take this as an offense, if you read this

9:45 if you pause that was a takedown but there wasn’t review. If they had challenge bricks and official/challenge review Josh Churella would’ve won the championship I’m sure!
@iceman2515 Жыл бұрын
I had the exact same thought! I watched and rewatched that part several times and there is no way it was not a takedown. Pretty bad call there.
