According to the Japanese official website, Duke Fleed is a Starker Knight, Starker Knights are people with a "gn" factor that can pilot Guardian deities. Such as: Grendizer, Zeoladizer (The White Grendizer), and the Aquadizer (Minerva X looking one). The deities also seem to control elements, Zeoladizer controls air, while Aquadizer controls water.

@@Myuutantobasuta I have no idea what Grendizer controls, but my guess would have to be space or something cosmic related due to his attacks like the Anti-Gravity Storm and the Space Thunder. I might be wrong tho

That would definitely make sense if it keeps its historical back story, kinda worried they’re gonna change some stuf around though

@@Myuutantobasuta They certainly will change things around, but at least knowing that Saudi Arabia funded this, leaves me with assurance that it's going to be faithful. If anything this will be an amalgamation of all Grendizer content.

My guy. In saudi, we really love Grendizer. We even had a 1:1 statue of him. Anime is very big here. The investment is part of the diversification of resources in saudi. Vision 2030. Yes we do have villages, farms and a lot more greenery than what the stereotypes make you believe. Especially the South part, they are like the Maldives. Our biom is very diverse. The base is probably the solar panel farm that we built and are expanding in the empty quarter desert. The white dizer is a nice reference to Grendizer giga.

@Myuutantobasuta yep. There is an area called the empty quarter. A vast uninhabitable area, even by dessert standards. There are plans to make use of it by generating solar and wind energy. If it succeeds, it is theorised to produce double the energy the earth currently uses. Initial construction and testing had already been built. It goes well with Grendizer since, in some material, he does use solar energy.

I wouldn't be surprised if Saudi appeared in the show in some form, but I think you are jumping to conclusions with the assumption that it will be the primary location, of the story. Given Grendizer's battle with Zeoladizer (white Grendizer) seems to be taking place in Paris as well and two known important locations to the story (the Photon Lab and Hikaru's home island) clearly aren't in Saudi. For some context according to the Japanese website Hikaru in this version is a priestess/shrine maiden, who lives on an island of the cost of Japan (which also seems to be where the well at the end of the trailer is as it's Hikaru not Duke, who is there). The website also says that Koji found an amnesiac Duke in a desert before taking him back to the Photon Lab (The Space Science Lab seems to not be a thing in this version, as Professor Umon is now working at the Photon Lab).

Im kinda getting the impression from the trailer that Saudi might be the location for at least the first episode, but yeah the trailer does also confirm Paris and japan, so I would prefer if it was like a Vegan World War story

@@Myuutantobasuta I dunno there's only two moments that seem to be in a desert area (potentially Saudi) in the trailer and one of them is just seems to be where Koji found Duke. Either way they are probably doing away with the ranch hand aspect of Duke's story, since Hikaru (who's family originally owned the Ranch) is now and islander priestess type and Duke is living at the Photon lab.

@@Myuutantobasuta She was already in the first PV. She was the priestess looking girl who asked Duke weather he was a good person or not. Also I should point out that Tenrona (a character from a one shot that acted as the basis for Grendizer and she herself was the basis for Rubina), is being included in this as Rubina sister, although hey have inexplicably swapped designs.

Now if only I can evolve Grendizer into Grendizer Giga like a 'Charged up' from Kamen Rider Stronger. That'd be great! There's a silver Hover Pilder alright. Don't forget Duke is a cowboy... 3:05, Koji's pilot suit looks like the one used in the cancelled Dai-Mazinger project. 5:03, reminds me of the Leopaldon from Supaidaman. Hehe. 5:50, I recalled this scene from the original anime. This was when Kouji basically gets the stuff out of Duke and what's his deal is, thus getting the 2 bonding. You wouldn't believe when I tell you this got a few fangirls at the time to ship these 2 in a Yaoi doujins most of the time. 6:44, Zeoladizer is his name. I've seen the character piloting it and its a villain. Why? Because the pilot - Zeola looks to be like that smug villain whom you'd love to hate. You know they type. So he'll possibly be goading Duke to his lowest and enjoying every single second of it all. An insane type of villain who loves the thrill of this conniving shit. 8:41, Aquadizer. Oh...it does look like Minerva X. 11:40, XD Your voice. My bad. It's just funny to me. We'll be getting this show on July 5th. We're READY!

I suppose it would make sense the Vegan army have robots similar to grendizer since they're ones who built it, so they must have made other models besides Grendizer. I'm feeling very stoked to see Kouji and Mazinger Z back in action after the past few years despite mazinger z will get destroyed.

@@Myuutantobasuta Huh, that's interesting, so its a little different from the show. Because in the tv series Duke Freed actually steals Grendizer from the Vegan empire after his home got turned into a wasteland.

@@Myuutantobasuta Gattaiger is a short anime film about alternate version of Duke Fleed and his UFO robot Gattaiger. The robot was later redesigned into Grendizer, I think.
