You are 100% right Dave. Looking back, all music comes inspiration and then pure talent, like Greta. I like the fact they took all reminiscence of what they grew up learning, gave a new generation a phenomenal gift of this blues rock and roll, with a poetic flare. It is unique..reminds me of Queen. ♥Greta♥

Damn right Dave people need to stop with the Zeppelin rip offs shit man ...Everybody's favorite bands favorite band was Zeppelin they were just that damn good the inspired everyone that heard them and seen them so what GVF sound like them their original and play well they write their own music and its good damn good ... Zeppelin borrowed or knicked it as Plant said didn't stop them from setting the bar so high that no one could come close again ...And you recall they had to go up against the Beatles ...GVF will be great before it's over but they will never be Zeppelin no one will no one has to be !!!

@@TheNinnyfee I think those are the rarer haters in this case especially. I think the real hate comes from fear of people who love modern crappy music now loving rock. That the 70s and 80s was a limited, lucky experience for music and you can't just bring it back by pretending you understand it. But I'll have faith against that. I think it's more of a eye-opener, people will change, like this band, figuring it out and loving it as they go.

We're witnessing history. This band has followers from all ages. Reminiscent of 70's classic rock (Led Zepp to be precise), 80's hard rock flair, sprinkle of 90's grunge, and as young as they are, they have today's millenials as fans as well. Mash all that up and get GVF!!!! Didn't think it could ever be done.

My 24 year old daughter sent me GVF to listen to and at first I just shrugged it off. I’m 60. I finally took the time to REALLY listen! Wow! I hear all of the influence of the rock musicians I grew up on, but not in a “copy cat” sort of way. In a great, wonderful, wild sort of way!! FINALLY, a real rock band who makes me wish I was 20 something again! Keep on rocking Josh, Jake, Sam and Danny!! Grew up with my dad only listening to classic rock. I loved it! He’s since passed and now that I’m in my early twenties listening to Greta it’s now clicked… feel as though I can truly feel the excitement and energy my dad had growing up with the likes of led zeppelin etc. Genuinely wish I could bond with him over Greta’s music today. I do like a lot of todays music but this… this is where it’s at! Bridged a gap I’ve been dying to re-experience! Cannot get enough of their music! Every time I’m listening it’s impossible to not be happy and just jam out! All other worries go out the drain! I love it! Blessed to be experiencing such talent like my dad did at this age.

And the other is also a family band. No, not the Desmond brothers. They called, the Warning, three sisters from Mexico, and guess what they play rock to. Led Zep, and Guns n Roses are in the past, and thankfully this two bands are carrying the rock in a new dimension. And no matter that they are Mexicans or Zulus, it’s the music what speak values, which I have the feeling you can’t even scratch the surface of it. So go back in your cave and shut it!!!

I’ve already commented, but I just watched a reaction video and I had to come back, because I believe that the Age of Man performance here is the best live performance I’ve ever watched. There’s something magical going on. No exaggeration. Sam’s intro (unbelievably moving) and the way these four just play together so perfectly, it’s just amazingly beautiful. If we had time travel and I could only go to one time and place, I really think I’d transport to this particular performance. It’s that moving and gorgeous. I hope the people watching were sober enough and musically intelligent enough to realize what they were witnessing. Definitely a special moment in time. These guys know how to write a song and give it life. I feel like I’m lifted and transported into another dimension. So thankful for this amazing creation!

But, WOW!! when Greta Van Fleet showed up while I was scanning for Zep tracks I was blown away. They have their own sound. They have their own style. They have their own songs. No copy cat. Copy cat is what I do, I try to cover the music I love. Greta Van Fleet brings back to me what I have been missing for so long. Great music. Can't wait to see them live!

Well - Just watched this again - and have a flood of tears down my face - it isn't just about bringing rock back - it is GRETA VAN FLEET themselves. They are four fabulously talented dudes who actually are also very sweet. It got a bit overwhelming towards the end - I felt the love in the room and I was alone in my living room - with my cat - damn if I am so glad to be alive just to have been able to get to know this band. And the love they have for music. Hard to put into words. 😍PS - Josh has a beautiful timbre in the lower register.

I just discovered GVF in the past week and am blown away. This may sound bombastic but hear me out. Greta Van Fleet may be the most important band in the history of hard rock music. The reason is that hard rock as a genre was on its deathbed and these kids are bringing it back. Although they're still babies as bands go, they're the standard-bearer for classic rock now. They're not just great. They're important. They need to stick together and make great music for years to come. They will inspire more young bands to come along and perform this style of music. Sort of like Metallica has been doing a long time for metal.

The market is there, The Torch has to be Passed though, and Other New Rock Bands will be formed and inspired by this Genre .. its like taking a Trip back into the 70's when I listen to them . The Guitarist is also extremely Talented , and Keyboard, just listen to the Keyboard skills ... it is as if he is Channeling Gary Brooker from Procol Harum ..

Josh (Vocals) and his twin Jake (Guitar) along with their younger brother Sam (Bass-Keyboards) and good family friend Danny Wagner (Drums). From the small German town of Frankenmuth Michigan. My mom has asthma so she starts having a full asthma attack. using her inhaler. on the front row. of a rock and roll concert. She was fine so it was hilarious.
