The ending would be great if Meredith is the Chief of Surgery and it recreates the first scene where Webber is talking to all the interns. Except it’s Meredith talking to all the interns, and she’s giving the same speech that Webber gave. And as she looks around the interns, she sees herself in them, as well as the people she’s lost.

Meredith, Derek, Cristina, Alex, Izzie, George, Lexie, Mark, Callie, Arizona, Bailey, Webber, Addison, Jackson, April, Owen, Teddy… they were my childhood and I remember everything. For me the perfect way to end this show is to go around famous places in the hospital while the doctors and patients are doing their thing and have audio playing of major things that happened depending on what room they stop in like for example go to the bridge leading to the chiefs office and play an audio from where Derek gets shot, go inside the chiefs office and play the audio for when MAGIC confesses to cutting the LVAD wire, go to the specific room that Meredith and Cristina was in where Cristina gave her that speech that Meredith was the sun before Cristina left and play that audio, go to an Operation room and play the audio where Meredith wins the Harper Avery award, and then go to the room where Webber and Meridth do their infamous speeches to the interns and intertwine the speeches together for the audio and do all that for like 5 minutes with different audios and places in the hospital. Then go to an OR and there is someone laying on the table that is prept to get surgery and don’t show the main surgeon yet and zoom on their hands with the surgical equipment (it can be up to the writers for what they want their focus to be in surgery) then go up to the face slowly and it be revealed to be Zola and have her wearing Derek’s surgical cap and she then proceedes to say “it’s a beautiful day to save lives.” Then go out side of the hospital and zoom in on the hospital name that says Grey + Sloan memorial hospital and have Meridth do her last voice over saying “how well you play, that’s up to you.” With “The Story” specifically sung by Sara Ramirez playing throughout this whole scene. For me personally I’m a sucker for flashback scenes I cry every time when last episodes do that so that would be my perfect ending.
