There is nothing more beautiful than a mother geese and her goslings and they are very good watchdogs for they warn you when there are unexpected people on your property. They can also chase and bite you.

Wonderful compilation of scenes of the geese. Great to hear their gravely voice and watching their behavior is fascinating as is the scene with over 20 young. Beautiful!

These graylag geese were awesome Udo, I loved hearing their call and sounds and my goodness what a bunch of beautiful goslings. I absolutely love how you captured them from tiny to adult that's impressive. My favorite part was the bathing, birds having a bath is my favorite thing to watch always. I really enjoyed the behavior you captured at about one and a half minutes in.

Ok, but...how can one goose possibly have that many goslings at the same time? Or do they sometimes adopt the young of other geese? Very nice footage, anyway 🙂
@hoppinonabronzeleg94773 жыл бұрын
They go around in schools, I have seen 6 adults with a school of 20 goslings. Sometimes a few of the parents leave the young 'in the creche' so to speak. Safety in numbers. The goslings get the benefit of the knowledge of 6 adults rather than only 2, and get to hang out in school with lots of other young. This gives some adults a break, and ensures the young are cared for, and tired out at night and not so much of a pain to mum and dad!

Watched so much and then responded so little? Anyway, I thought your video was great and enjoyed the whole video. Did the goose have so many or was it the babysitter of all the little ones because so much is not common. Usually as I saw later 6 and that's a lot but they are so cute to see. There are here also many born here in the Alblasserwaard and there are many in meadows to see although the farmers are not very happy with it.

@bruceloranze29723 жыл бұрын
Check with your local farm supply,or do an online search for local goose breeders. Get goslings as soon as possible after they hatch ( best within a couple days),as they will be much quicker to bond with you.
