The concept behind the music is that bass drummers should be able to play the same rudimental vocabulary as snare and tenor players. This piece blurs the boundaries between drumline instruments and encourages bass drummers to master rudimental chops just as much as they master splitting rhythms. So get that Matched Grip going and have fun getting better!

I would probably set up like a portable muffling set up if your playing outside as the white noise is making it a little difficult to hear the beats

Hey! Thanks for the heads up! All Mike had that day was his phone and he set up next to a water fountain. So it's actually water you're hearing. We're lucky we got what we got! This etude almost didn't come out because of the audio lol. And we typically use an H4N field mic when recording outdoors and the sound is super clean!

I think they were some double taped Vic Firth Ralph Hardimons, but not 100% sure. You could DM Michael on IG @swaindrums and he would know better!
