My 46 year old son lost his 4.5 year battle with cancer the day after Christmas. It is unimaginable that life will go on without him. Thank you for this message! I wait for God to fill the emptiness!

My beautiful kind selfless mother passed away yesterday (March 11, 2022) and I cannot express the depths of my sorrow, sadness and the emptiness I feel. She was the most wonderful person I’ve ever known. She was the source of all joy, the rock and the life of our family. I really cannot see how I can recover when we had hope and she seemed like she was going to make it. I just wish I had one more week, one more month and one more year with her. I pray pray pray I get to see her again.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My father passed away 28th February 2022. His funeral is tomorrow. I feel similar sentiments towards my father as you do for your mother. I just feel so broken. I loved my father so much, but I feel like he's been stolen from me.

No one except our Lord Jesus can mend a broken heart. Spread the power of the Holy Spirit and the Good word. For those who are grieving sometimes silence and praying with others is the only relief. I pray for peace in those who are broken hearted. For me it took three years to understand my loss. God Bless you and may he mend your heart and sole. Peace and Love. There are many praying with us. Amen

Seven things 1. Need time to be sad 2. Start again - seek God. Ok God what is up? Read that bible 3. Forgiveness 4. Hard Choices 5. Tell yourself the truth 6. Reach out to someone else 7. Its going to God himself to fill up the emptiness inside. - GOD DOES HIS BEST WORK WITH EMPTY Thanks for this. I have watched you on GriefShare, I have been through the group twice.

i came across your touching comment in the death of love ones post here on you tube. Well am really sorry about that okay 😒☹️and I know how it feels to be lonely without our love ones, we've all lost our love ones in death one way or the other, either a spouse, child, family members, or a true friend that meant the world to us, such is life I understand how you feel but life must move on because death is inevitable no matter how hard we try! And we'll all have to face it someday....

@@richardbradshaw7830 I know you mean well but your comments, "but life must move on"... "because death is inevitable" is rather thoughtless . Thank you for your wisdom, now I'm totally over losing my entire family because guess what? A stranger basically said.. get over it, we all die. Who knew it was that easy-I'm cured of my grief now!

five steps of grief. denial, anger with sadness, bargain, depression, and acceptance. Takes five years to be able to go on with a dull ache. First two years cry and stare at wall is normal. each year after gets a bit easier. First year hardest. See many books on this subject.

@terryparrish8477

I think I'll always be "broken" too, Stephen. If we were lucky enough to have a great Mom (which I was) then we're forever changed from the day that they leave this world. The whole world (and our lives) will look and seem different from here on out. (Because they're no longer in it and/or a part of it.) The permanence of her absence has been the toughest thing that I've ever had to deal with in my life. She always had my best interests at heart (even though we often disagreed with how certain things needed to get done.) What I wouldn't give now to have Mom back (if only to criticize me on what I was doing !) Ha ! At least she'd be here. It's a bad feeling when you know that they're gone and that they're not coming back. (Love You, Mom.) There are others out here who can empathize with a lot of what you're probably feeling. Do the best you can, moving forward in this (now different) world. I know the feeling. Take care, Stephen.

Thank you for this video. My family and I have experienced loss. From miscarriage to still born to suicide to cancer….loss is verrry hard. There were days when I was sure I’d get lost in the grief of my loss. I absolutely agree with serving others as a healing tool. It doesn’t erase the pain, but it does lessen the bitterness of it and it takes the focus off of your own sorrow to help bear someone else’s. Thank you for sharing!

for five years. First one hardest, second one hard. Third year better. Than after fifth year a dull ache. Will be a different person when finish grieving actively, though will always miss him and wish he were there. Many books on this. Five stages of loss are denial, anger with sadness, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Go through each when is right time for each person. Must go through grieving to be better five years later and able to move on with life. Do not be surprised at how hard it is. Losing a child hardest of all.

"Those who you thought would be there, wern't" - I have been more shocked by this than anything else since the Lord took my husband home to Heaven 3 years ago, more so because the Lord had taken our youngest son, age 44, home to Heaven just 3 years before my husband. Our son left 3 little boys, now 9, 12, & 14, whom we had not seen since our son's passing........Our precious son was a born again Christian, but love is blind, and he married a Morman. He left her once, and went back to her. They lived 4 hours away, and she would visit her parents, just 20 miles from us, but we would never see them. He had a brain Aneurysm in 2010; Patient Advocacy had to be contacted in order to see/ talk on the phone to him - that is what we had to go through.........what a battle in life from then on, until that awful day when he had a fatal stroke. My 2nd. child and spouse have our 2 other grandchildren, in their 20's - one is now fully transgender, with the parents, who are Christuian, seemingly o'k with it. My plate is full to overflowing, and I need to hear of someone near to my situation, but there probably isn't anyone relatable to all that......... I have the Lord, and a single Godly son, who moved into my home with me, 3 years ago - we lean on Jesus, but are so stunned.

Oh Lynda, there are no words I could say to begin to touch on what you are going through. All I can offer is my heartfelt prayers for you to have some level of peace in all this while keeping your eyes on Jesus. Clearly, this is NOT our home. However, we do have an eternal home, whose builder and maker is the LORD. Please hold this verse close to your heart...Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and He saves those who are crushed in spirit. God bless you

i came across your touching comment in the death of love ones post here on you tube.

The Gutherie's started a grief support group called Grief Share. Google it and find where one is hosted in your area. I'm on my 3rd time through the program. I believe they may have special retreats and things for those who've lost children as they have.
