This isn't training at all. This guy can hardly be called a trainer. If you're actually paying attention to the dogs body language he is afraid and completely shutting down because of that fear. @@HDBD10 exactly. Real training takes time. I've been doing this for 15 years, and the one thing I've learned is you can't make something like this happen in an hour. If you look at some of my recent videos a lot of my training involves socialization first. Not just with people of different ages and experience levels, but with different stimuli. It involves working around their fear in a way that they learn to build trust. This guy just sucks

What a beautiful dog! Great trainer. I had a German Shepard as a kid that was overly protective of me. I wish I could post a picture on KZfaq to show. @@Warden033 some dogs also just develop issues regardless, quality of owners aside. When I was a kid we had two dogs who were just fine and loved each other until my dad deployed. We moved during that time and they started attacking each other any chance they could. When he got home, it just got worse. We ended up calling in professional trainers but none of them could figure it out. The dogs both ended up getting a side of the house they lived on because we didn't want to surrender one since they were already 10 years old. Don't assume that an owner needing a professional means they're a bad owner.

I had a Great Pyrenees and later found out the breeder inbred him. He looked completely normal but would just randomly snap outta nowhere like a psychopath, wires crossed in his brain or something. Granted this is a very very small majority of dogs. 99% is definitely the owners fault. We had to send Marco to a sanctuary/rehabilitation. Still miss him.
