it's so cool to see clean cars like this on the channel, it's the fact that everyone in the shop respects any vehicle that someone has clearly put effort into, stock or modded that keeps me watching these videos.

I've had at least one 3rd Gen in the stable for 17 years now. I always get someone coming up to the car while filling up to tell me a crazy story about the one they or their buddy had back in the day. It's a wonder that any of them survived.

I find myself encouraged for some reason every time I find serious car guys into the cars that seemingly not too long ago weren't given a second look. 3rd gen camaros, G-body chevys, ect... Alex sure seems like a cool guy.

Lol, I drove a T-top 3rd gen to high school it was some nasty gray color with a weak ass 305 t.b.i. In it, oh, & it was automatic.😰 That thing was a terd, I went through 3 distributors, 2 transmissions 2 electric fans & 2 fuel pumps & only had it for about 2 years. I ended up getting rid of it cause the wiring harness under the dash was all fried & melted together & it would geek out going down the road & start missing, spiting, & backfiring & every gauge in the dash would completely freak the hell out! Lol plus the dash had a huge crack right in the middle like most of em do. That was the most impressive part of the 3rd gen in this video, the perfect dash! Dude, you could sell that in a freakin heartbeat to any 3rd gen owner, even if they don’t need it cause they know they will need it eventually. Ahh, memories...

Nice 3rd gen. I've had around a dozen of them. You can do any mods you want if you don't cut or weld anything and keep the original parts to reinstall.

Maan nice daily! But before you put a inline four in it just put a Holley TBI set-up on it and a little smaller cam and maybe an extra gearvendors overdrive. That should make it better in almost every way apart from sound.

I love all Camaro’s, I can name 7 family members who owned third gens back in the day including both my parents. Dad had an 87’ atomic orange IROC Z28 t tops 350TPI He had the whole back of the hatch filled with speakers, my mom just had an 85’ white base model 305, Aunt and uncle both owned RS’s, cousin owned a 92’ RS 305 TPI t tops had the flat face 5 spoke rims and a few other family members just had base models or RS cars.

How is your gas tank 13.5 gallons my 84 is 16 gallons which I have put 17 in with the neck filled up.

I had an 1985 Iroc-Z back in the 90's. Had a freshly rebuilt trans when I bought it, I blew that one when the front pump exploded, rebuilt it with a beefier pump and blew that one too. Sold it for $500. The 215hp 305 was just too much for it. I'm not going to lie I was very nervous buying my current 2012 Silverado because it has a 4L60E (updated, electric 700r4).

My 305 has a smoking problem too lol

I had the exact same Camaro, same year same color same shape and color interior same damn embroidered dash pad... Does it have the working hood vents? I'm really curious if this car ever lived in Sacramento it just looks so much like my old one, I've owned 3 of those Camaros and it was the cleanest one but I bought it for cheap because it was only running on 7 cylinders and I thought it'd be a easy fix and I fell on hard times and had to sell it a month after I got it... Never even got to fix it or register it even but I sold it for $1100 more than I paid
