The fully-redesigned GrimmSpeed Version 2 GESI-Catted EJ Downpipe is the perfect example. We took everything that made our original downpipes so great and brought it to the next level!

@@GrimmSpeed im glad I got back into the Subaru game. Had a GR STI almost 10 years ago before the VAs came out. It felt like parts were limited. Fast forward to now and I have a 21 STI and there are a crazy amount of options.

I believe the tuning software doesn't allow to turn off emissions codes now? Which is why no one, especially in California, can buy this even if they wanted to. So sad. Harleys muscle cars flying by without any cats!

We haven't had any issues running it on our 2020 STI. Although, every vehicle is different and highly dependent on mods.

It really does Sound amazing ! Currently I have your limited catted Dp and it is also great just made 320 Hp 330 lbs of torque on a 13 wrx , maybe I should have waited as even after my tune I got the insufficient cat code . this one has a true Gesi cat before the o2 sensor and would eliminate any chance of that right ?

We appreciate that! It DOES have a true GESI cat in the proper location, however we can't absolutely guarantee no CEL for every car/setup out there. I will say that our long-term test cars did not produce a CEL.

I have the same downpipe and ran into the CEL. I moved the o2 sensor after the cat about 6 inches and I haven't had it pop back up yet.

Would it fit a 2005 legacy gt? I believe I have a wrx header right now. I fabricated a little extension piece to add the length I needed to meet the midpipe. I'm only worried if it would hit the firewall.

Yes, this pipe will fit stock location manual 2005 Legacy GT just fine. Shouldn't have to fabricated anything.

Your best bet is to contact your local tuner and ask about your options. Without knowing your mods it hard for us to give a proper answer.

Would this pass the more stringent safety and emission inspections that now fails other aftermarket Downpipes including the Cobb one?

The GESI Cat is much more efficient then the V1 cat, however we can't make a blanket statement on what it will/will not pass since emissions testing is so varied throughout the U.S.

In our testing, we found that we didn't get a CEL.

Still no bellmouth ☹️ Would love to see a company make something for an external wastegate setup that still routes back in front of the cat too.

There's a reason we don't, through our testing divorced is the superior design. Our original downpipe was bellmouth, but we made the switch long ago. Even with a full wastegate recirc, there is the potential for EPA/regulation issues so you likely won't see U.S. Manufacturers like us introducing those anytime soon.

@@TDT0188 If you've got the IWG closed off, the two designs will perform relatively the same, especially since the divorced version will provide less turbulence.

No, at the moment we only plan to offer these with the divorced turbo outlet.

So on my previous car before all the bs in California I ran an invidia bellmouth down pipe on my 17 sti and had boost issues. My tuner recommended I switched to a divorced style downpipe and it solved my problems. You will always see tuners recommend divorce style downpipe for a reason. Wish I could run this new grimmspeed downpipe on my 21 sti but I have to get out of California first lol

The shop car is a 2020 and it looks like it works no problem. If you take a look at the website the notes say the car was run for a few thousand miles without tuning for the downpipe and no CEL was thrown.
