Idea: instead of conventional bombs, try putting RN-24 or RN-28 nukes on those F/A-18s; they'd do a lot more damage per hit and allow you to get fewer bombers out in a faster amount of time. If modding the Super Hornet to carry nukes doesn't work, MiG-21s (which carry those munitions in the core game) can fly off of Kuznetsov or QE2 using RATO and parachute.

This was a very fun mission, moreso then I thought it would be. To make it more winnable, as well as just more anti-ground naval strikes, why not add a couple B-52, B-1 or B-2 flights from Guam to complement the naval armada? Drop the BIG boom-boom! I was also thinking Rapid Dragon, but I just remembered they carry LORASMs which dive to the deck and would be useless here. I'd like to see this rematch.

What if you added a group of bombers like b-1’s or b-2’s that needed to be escorted by humans? I think that could possibly be more effective and would be interesting to see.

Cap, if you remember what you had to do with the Zeros in the Pearl Harbor series with every amount of set time a set of Zeros would spawn in, it might work just a little bit better with the Super Bogs in that the clogging issue wouldn't affect the bombing times. All that would be left to have troubles with would be the ai choosing not to drop their bombs. However if you want to keep the realism with them taking off, good luck.

try using ship launched or land launched ballistic missiles or bombs that dive in from above, or do it Doolittle style and launch bombers of carriers(AC-130 with MOABs)

In this scenario couldn't the Russians just use nuclear tipped khinzal hypersonic missile? Or could the US or UK use some form of nuclear tipped cruise missile in top-attack drop down mode. Or the Russians using khinzal hypersonic missile dropping down on top without nuclear warhead but just a lot of them. And I'm sure the Chinese could use anti-ship ballistic missiles in huge numbers, DF-somethingorother can't remember the numbers

OK. Suggestion for attacking the bugs. Reduce the flights from a 4 ship to a 2 ship. It looked like the third and fourth guys were the ones to refuse to bomb. Primary and secondary seemed to drop pretty consistently.

I've read some comments and many others suggested what I'm about to suggest. Have some big bombers (B-1s, B-2, B-52s, Tu-95s, Avro Vulcans, whatever the Chinese have) spawn in the air at intervals to get around the problem of gummed up carriers and put more bombs on target. For roleplaying you could say they took off from Guam or somewhere in Russia/China.

In a real world scenario, the Chinese fighters would look a lot more like FA alien fighters and someone on the mothership would be asking questions about online security.

Hey Cap, couple of suggestions but they're a bit of ballache: Could you not have the CV's be included for recovery's only and have the flights spawn in on timers/triggers etc. That'd remove the chance of them getting gummed up all together (at least in a spot where it actually matters). And I really do like the idea of a flight of 100+ hoomans but that would require coordinating that many ppl and thats more of a ballache then programming all the triggers for the AI lol. Also just to get in the quotes: "Keep my planets name, out ya mouth!" oops, wrong quote.

You should do a battle between a modern Chinese VS Russian carrier group. The Russian can have the Kunetzov and the Kirov. Over a hundred year ago, Russia forced China to give up its northeast territory, called outer Manchuria which includes Vladivostok. The Chinese are itching to get it back and will do so when Russia is weakened by its current adventure. It'll a good fight.

The answer is a resounding no, but this is always fun to watch lol. Those ships are actually called City Destroyers & we now have an idea of how much firepower it takes to breach the shields by brute force. There is an excerpt regarding cold fusion based bombs that would sterilize like half of the continental United States & the shields being able to withstand that firepower. On the more extreme end, the Harvester was able to ram the Moon & continue unimpeded. Using these examples, you would need like Death Star level firepower just to crack the Harvester's shields.

I don't know if this is posable in game or not. But if there is enough time for the carrier groups to get to gather then we could send some big bombers from land bases. BTW, my father's 1977 3/4-ton Chevy Scottsdale has over 300k miles on it. He used it as a tow truck for years and hauled a camper shell made for a 1- & 1/2-ton truck for years more. I know you just did another fictional situation, but that was one of the funniest and engaging videos that I still enjoy today. So it would be nice to see something like what starships can fly through SPAA, or maybe even what ground units can destroy an AT-AT. Orrrr even what would the U.S. do if the Empire was making a Death Star esque thing flying in a nearby sea, and the AIs have to support the Humans who need to shoot the Death Star in a specific area. (Kinda like the movie). But anything Star Wars would be nice, if you can get he damage model working. Have a great day!

Two ideas. First support the naval strike groups with land based bombers carrying far more ordnance (escorted by a few land based fighters). Second, equip some of the air to ground forces with tactical nuclear weapons (maybe a select group of humans only). Great video, keep up the good work!

If possible you could have the ship drop shields at a certain damage threshold. Knock 50% hp down, and now the ship is capable of being damaged from the front. Allows the fleet to get in and actually participate in a meaningful way + would allow some other direct ordinance.

A flight of fully loaded B-1Bs might work. A payload 84 500lb bombs or 24 nukes would definitely do a thing.

And at the last minute USAF shows up with B1Bs and B52s to carpet bomb the aliens.

I for one, welcome our new Alien Overlords. Try to think of a way to disable the shield-maybe a very small specific point on the mothership that could only be hit by pinpoint guided weaponry then unleash every AG plane in the United Nations. Also start the carriers and planes a little closer so the fighter squadrons can clear the majority of hostiles first? Ensure bomber groups are led by humans and each group has a fighter escort? Don't think nukes are plausible-if we press the doomsday button what button do they press in retaliation? Human guile and, it appears, British Meteor missiles would win the day. Great fun.

This is a strong argument for armed guards at schools and to allow teachers to carry. Unless I'm searched, there isn't a place I do not carry a firearm.

Japanese pearl harbor fleet vs ET aliens. The one thing memorable from this channel's IJN is the swarm of fighters. So quantity over quality, how would they do against star destroyers with fully functional AA?

If at the ten minute mark, not enough damage has been dealt; A B2 Spirit is spawned in at an appropriate distance for dramatic effect and bee lines it for the City Destroyer. It has nukes and will kill it. In response, a huge flight of alien fighters spawns for intercept, and the players have to frantically dogfight to defend their last chance at victory.
