Just want to take a moment to wish 'happy holidays' to all our friends angry about the 'war on Christmas.' I'm worried about you guys. It's Christmas, and you're not very merry. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Being a Gemini myself, it really tracks. Rather charismatic, prone to mood swings (not just the Temple freakout, cursing a tree for not having a fig, and the differences between the various gospels, yeah, mood swings), and of course prone to pontificating, well before there was a Pontiff. Yep, it tracks.

When I get on a bus in the Christmas season and hand the driver a little box of chocolates, and say "Merry Christmas," I get a priceless expression. And a thank you.

Any war on christmas began with department stores.

As an antiques dealer I have looked through many an old Christmas postcard from 70 to 120 years ago. Most of the time they say Happy Holidays with holly sprigs, a bell and ribbon. Quite often there is a cute little girl in a frilly dress. They even say Seasons Greetings. It is unusual to see Merry Christmas on them and I can't recall the last time I saw one with any mention of the Christmas story. So when did the war on Christmas start?

What would we do without you John Fugelsang???? Hey let's start saying "Merry Holidays"!!! Would that be a nice compromise?

We would probably listen to one of the other thousand NPC corporate. Banker pundits spewing the exact same antiwhite antichristian antiwest sentiment that this douchebag baizuo is spewing?

from a Christian, I fully support this message. Happy Holidays.

I thought "Happy Holidays" was a generic greeting used to encompass Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year's Day, you know, THE HOLIDAY SEASON. I guess it's a no-no to say "Season's Greetings" as well.

I'm a liberal non-christian, but it doesn't bother me in the least bit when people say Merry Christmas to me on December 25 . I say Merry Christmas to them, too . Big deal . So what ? Much ado about nothing .

John is brilliant. However, Jesus was obviously a Pisces, the symbology fits, being kind, compassionate, out of step with the reality of the times, empathizing with the poor and down trodden and the loaves and fishes miracle, folks.

I'm still going to say Merry Christmas, but if I go into a porn/drug store, I'll say Happy Holidays instead.

You guys realize that Christmas is one of those holidays being acknowledged, right? It doesn't mean all the holidays except Christmas. It's still the main one. They're wishing you a happy Christmas... And Hanukkah, and the New Year, and whatever else you celebrate. You're not being excluded. At all. I mean you do understand that, don't you?

How about just saying "goo goo g'joob" for a season's greeting? After all; who could argue with The Walrus? We don't want to start a "War on the Beatles" now, do we?

@HecticEclectic Does that mean we can't say Merry Christmas?
@bldaz12 жыл бұрын
Ah because it is Christmas and we celebrate it. It isnt anything else so you get over it and move on make your own Holiday and we decide if we will or wont celebrate it.
@Numbuh712 жыл бұрын
@Advenger22 Nope. One or the other. Christmas is a holiday, so to say happy holidays and then Merry Christmas, it's wishing the same thing twice.

How about New Years? That's just days away from Christmas. Is Happy Holidays acceptable to you if it covers both of those instead of saying the whole damn both of them?
@Numbuh712 жыл бұрын
@siliyemoodislam Those aren't even titiles, they're specific traditions that stem from specific holidays. Why would we say those? That's like saying "Happy Santa Clause" for Christmas. Completely ridiculous.

Mr. Fugelang missed the boat. He's about 20 years too late with his politically correct views of Christianity. If he'd written a book about this stuff around 1994, it would have been a best seller. Of course he was still in college then. So now his catch-up act is just plain blah, blah, boring.
@nicolehiles3657 жыл бұрын
Peter I think you completely missed the point. Politically correct towards Christmas? Get a life dude
@BrianMcInnis8712 жыл бұрын
Very, very smart, but 'Happy holidays' is and will remain a depressing, watered down, soulless shadow of 'Merry Christmas', or the greeting of any other actual winter holy day.
@KennBurch6 жыл бұрын
No one is being persecuted in the U.S. for saying "Merry Christmas". If you want to say it, just say it. "Happy Holidays" is simply about not being overbearing...not turning what should be nothing but an expression of joy and cheer into "if you're not a Christian, you're in the minority and you're not a 'real American' and we'll never let you forget it". It doesn't matter whether the signs say it in the department stores. That's just corporations not trying to drive customers away.

How can I retrieve the last 3 minutes and 34 seconds of my life back? Rhetorical question of course. What a load of bullshit this guy is spewing! Happy Holidays my ass.

After watching this politically motivated crap, I lost all respect for John Fugelsang. Hey John, you're a hypocrite... mainstream media goes out of their way to say Happy Chanuka.. oh and don't forget we can't offend the blacks.. so Happy kwanzaa... Look.. Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birthday and it's called CHRISTMAS... Last I heard the majority of this great United States is CHRISTIAN so cut the leftist crap!
