※Season all of the ingredients with a little salt before battering.
[ Batter ]
1 egg
150 g flour
80 ml milk
80 ml water
[ Dipping Sauce ]
100 ml worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp ketchup
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp sugar
2/3 Tbsp dashi powder (bonito)
About 100 ml water
(can be used the leftover sauce for fried noodles, okonomiyaki pancakes, stir-fry, fried rice, etc)
[ Mustard leaf and smoked salmon salad ]
Sesame oil
Gochijang
Grated garlic
Vinegar
Sugar
Salt to taste
Side dish / Cabbage and your drink☆

I love everything, from the awkward 'oops'moments to the background music, from the amplified sounds of cooking to the lotus root being hidden for trypophobia trigger, from browsing the shelves to the japanese memo, from the subtitles added to the recipies themselves. You may appreciate this for next Kushikatsu, imamu-chan: There is a type of onion called "pearl onion" which is the size of a quail egg. It requires no chopping! Very small and slightly sweet. Also, a tip for the avocado and other fragile veg: partially freeze them first, to help them keep their shape. This is especially helpful for avocado.

I will never not be amazed at people who know more than one language. Especially at how unnecessarily complicated English can be. I just purchased my first Japanese writing book so I can start my "I might be old but I'm going to learn a language I like" journey. So...thanks to Akira (first saw the subdubbed version in late 80's), its Japanese.

A long time ago I was sent to Japan to learn how the parent company of my employer does Quality Assurance. My trainer declared an afternoon off one day and we went to a Kushikatsu restaurant in Kyoto near the factory. It was a fabulous afternoon filled with a wonderful stream of tasty skewers washed down with large mugs of Kiren beer. This was just one highlight of a very enjoyable trip. I have been trying to find a local restaurant ever since but have to settle for Sushi Teppanyaki or Ramen to feed my craving for Japanese food. This video has inspired me to try making some myself. Yay! A new Imamu video! So happy to see a new video from you today. Salzburg is a town in Austria. the name literally translates to "Salt Town" or "Salt City". There are huge salt mines there and the salt is different colors and it's just beautiful. You can do a salt mine tour and see the beautiful layers of salt. (I'm sure the tours are still going on. I haven't been back to Salzburg since 1990, just because I haven't been back to Europe in general since then. But I do want to go back. I need to win a huge lottery so I can go to all the places I want to visit.) Have a wonderful weekend!

„Burg“ means „castle“ which stands for the big fortress on the hill of salzburg. But yes, there are still tours to the saltmines ;)

Love the fact that you're such a trust-the-process typa person! No matter how messy it gets or things don't turn out how you wanted, you just improvise while trusting the process, the end results are always pleasing to watch!! Imamu, I wanted to stop by to say thank you- I've been making myself meals for the week since I started my job, and your cooking has always inspired me, and last week, I tried my hand at making a curry soup inspired by you and an instant noodle i recently discovered! It turned out really well- the udon noodles were super good in it, and I could just add hot water at work from my kettle when it got super think since i put maybe a little too much of the roux blocks in it, so even with the extra water it was still so flavourful. Thank you for inspiring me to cook new foods.
