What the killer did brought trauma to the residents. What the cops did not do brought even more trauma. The ONLY officer to attempt to stop the gunman was the black security guard. The other officer who arrived on the scene saw all the bodies and saw the suspect and did not shoot him. The suspect went as far as to put the gun to his own head and still they did not shoot. Black people are shot in seconds. If this man was black I have no doubt they would not have fired on him. When she said..”it’s something that my mom has taught me since I was a kid”….my heart sank. Growing up the only drills I did were tornado and fire drills. Now kids have to do drills in case a lunatic decides to murder half the school. We said we’d do better to protect them in school….we failed. Now we can’t go to the store to by birthday cakes without fear of death. What is happening to us🥺

unfortunately it’s not even just schools here, Buffalo in general isn’t the safest city & this just adds fuel to the fire. i was in the city on saturday & literally 2.5 hours after this shooting happened a gun was pulled at the restaurant i was eating dinner at & we all had to drop to the ground & hide.

I am happy for both the mother and daughter being able to reunite and realize both had survived. I cannot imagine the mother's anguish to get safely out but then realize her daughter was still in there. Their tears of relief later that day must have been alot. My condolences to the families who lost loved ones that day!

I hated the atmosphere , the racism, the violence, the ignorance, there being so few safe outdoor spaces, the materialism, the peculiar attitudes. I'm so glad I left. It is so much worse now. Praying for the families who lost loved ones. Also prayers for the survivors. If they ever have a hearing in Washington, D.C. on gun control, I pray some of the survivors, and families who lost loved ones would go. Law makers did to see and hear them in person. All white supremacies; hateful extremists groups must be investigated and destroyed. The FBI infiltrated the Black Panther. Police officers killed Fred Hampton, and Mark Clark in Chicago. We now have Homeland Security, and nothing is being done to stop these racists. SMH.

@Damian not necessarily. While I do believe people should arm themselves I don’t think I can say that there would’ve been a different outcome. Possibly more people hurt and more confusion. The armed security guard wasn’t able to stop the gun man so what makes you believe untrained store goers would’ve been able to? Where our government should start would be restricting the access to assault rifles, machine guns, semiautomatic rifles, etc. But what do I know🤷🏽‍♀️

I was born and raised in Buffalo NY, I'm 59 years old as of April 28th and I never! would have thought this would happen here! That supermarket is not too far from where my parents home is. I'm angry, sad, but also thankful that my dad, wasn't one of this demons' victims. Around the time the gunman had started his rampage on innocent hard working Black people. My mom told my dad to go to that Tops Market to pick up some groceries for her. My mother was frantic she couldn't even answer my questions I asked her, all she knew is that he was gone too long! Thank God! on that day my Dad decided to go to another Tops, not to far from where I live, instead of the Tops Market on the Eastside of Buffalo. I pray this racist animal gets the death penalty! It won't bring back all those innocent people, but at least the families of the deceased, will have some form of justice. 😪

It’s nice to see these ladies smiling, after facing this terrifying situation. My heart goes out to those that lost their lives for such senselessness. It’s so sad for all, but those elderly people, it just breaks my heart. To think of all they’ve seen, and to make it this far in life only to be struck down by a hateful little person that doesn’t have enough sense to realize what a tragedy he’s brought on. @Damian did you watch the actual shooting video or even this video.. in the actual shooting video, you can see that no one had a chance to react. They even mentioned in this video that the security guard drew his weapon and still fell victim.

To Mother Fragrance, and Daughter Yahnia were lucky to be able to escape through the Back door, GOD was on their side. I Couldn't even Imagine what was going on in that Store. When this MAD MAN started shooting outside and inside. 10 Beautiful People lost their lives in just a matter of Seconds. For the Victims My Heart and Prayers goes to them, & the Families. For the Survivors, I Also Prayed for the Other People who were able to escape. These PEOPLE lives will never be the same again. Peyton, you are PURE EVIL, When it's your Time to Pay the Price in DEATH I HOPE YOU GO STRAIGHT TO HELL, WHERE YOU NEED TO BE!

When she said her mom held her so tight that she couldn't breathe and didn't care I felt that deep down. I cannot imagine the relief her mother must have felt to see that her child was still alive.
