Grog finds deck of many things and Laura Bailey breaks character. I can't believe Vex almost stops him from destroying the deck! It has consequences :)

Can we all take a moment and appreciate this opportunity? He was THIS close to throwing the deck in the lava. That means no deck of many things. No search for grog, thus no search for bob and no wedding cerimony oneshot. Liev'Tell, Sir Bertam Bell, Scanlans wish... all gone. The Bells Hells would never have met Bertram and their name would not have been that. That poor drunkard would never have been lord of the quadroads. Grog and Scanlan would not have messed with the guards, looking for him... All of that would never have been if vex, i'm sorry, LAURA had not stopped him.

How I want this scene to go in the cartoon: Grog picks up the pack, opens it, and cards fall into his hand. “I dunno what this is, but there isn’t even enough cards to make one deck. What type of cards are these?” As soon as he says one, a glow crosses over the cards. He picks up one card, he sees the face, and the magic sword appears in its place. Vex: “Grog. What just happened?” Grog: “nothing!” He says it too quickly, and as he tried to hide the sword the cards fall right between her feet.

So, if pulling a card out of the deck causes the bad thing, why does grabbing the deck, which is pulling all of the cards at once from their place not do a nasty? It would be a heads up! And if some cards are bad and others descent, it make the deck either immediately alluring or terrifying. Or, does it require one actually SEE the card for it to activate? Wouldn't that make playing 52 card pick up with your enemy an apocalyptic event against the BBEG?

@gartan8449
@gartan8449 3 ай бұрын
Kelith hate was because Marisha is an attention seeking, narcissist that cheats constantly and metagames. Her character was a shy druid that cares about the earth and lived away from society all her life. But suddenly she is completely fine taking centre stage constantly as she lies and kills people, sets multiple things on fire destroying the earth she supposedly loves. Makes terrible decisions like permanently walling in guards so their trapped and will starve to death without a second thought. Attacking and trying to banish and not help a paladin that spent almost a month been tortured and SA by dwarves. Siding with a mind flyer that she metagamed to know what mind flayers are and knew how evil they are! To name just a few reasons for the hate. Marisha is only there because of her relationship with Matt and she ruins almost every game she joins on the channel. Candela was another great example of that Had some of the best role-players at the table, and she constantly broke character to get more attention on her, ruining multiple key story points and character development.

Another example of Travis been one of the only people at the table that knows how to role-play and play the game the right way. Laura breaking character as she metagames yet again is so pathetic, and it's sad that Matt didn't tell her and the rest as they joined in to shut up. Grog 1000% would have thrown them away and the only reason they didn't is due to cheating bs. When the least intelligent character is the smartest in the room then the others should shut up and try and learn from them. Matt's stories and Travis and Sam been such great players are the main reason this channel exists. It could have become the best dnd channel of all time if the other players didn't metagame, cheat, fudge dice rolls, make decisions their characters wouldn't to avoid taking damage, be unable to role-play and stay in character. It could have been such a phenomenon. Instead it only appeals to a niche audience instead of the mainstream it could have reached.

@@shortnsweet5325 You live an extremely sheltered life if you think that bringing up things about a video in the comment section like your meant to...is freaking out. Wow. Your a perfect example of the niche market this channel has attracted instead of doing better and going mainstream. People on the spectrum are very difficult to talk to, you just don't really understand things very well and it's exhausting been around people like you.

Why are you out here shitting on all of the players? You’re getting super upset and making assumptions about people you literally do not know in real life, like calling Marisha a narcissist who’s only there bc of Matt? She’s an accomplished voice actor with her own successful career. Stop projecting your own issues onto random internet strangers & maybe try some therapy lol
