an important reason to leave the fall- the hair around the inner eye will grow right in.. the dog's eyes can get irritated. don't let anyone make your Bouvier into a schnauzer or a "puppy cut".. Yes they can see right fine, but dont take off the fur from the snout. Thank you for the great info here!! I wasn't sure what to do with the neck area, it's getting too hot in June for big hair!!

Thank you for sharing! I have a bouvier puppy coming in for his first groom tomorrow, I wonder if the owners will want the traditional head shape. This tutorial was so clear and helpful!

Your mic didn't pick it up... but having been a Bouv owner, I can hear that dog's distinctive Bouvier panting in my head as the video goes on. Love Bouviers.

what kind of blade did you use?. I am about to buy a clipper from Wahl and omg so many blade numbers which one you use for matted coats on Bouvies and which one do you use for more of a general use on Bouvies?

Would love to see how to make their legs "poofy' I have 2 Bouvs.I is 11 yrs old...and I still haven't found a video that explains it...I have never shaved them down to nothing,.and comb them everyday..so they dont have matts..Even tho they live in a farm !!! I hate seeing them shaved...Will definately get a POODLE COMB ...... If anybody reading this...knows of a video on how to groom their legs to get them POOFY!!!! PLEASE PM me..Id greatly appreciate it.!!! Thanks 😊

If your brushing properly the undercoat is what makes their kegs fuller. Make sure to only brush the legs when they are damp. And be very careful brushing. You can then dry with heat in a upward direction. Use moose and hairspray

@@ThePhreakzKururuthank You..Ive never used a blow dryer or moose..Forgot to say my males coat is totally different then my females. .his gets a bit curly when it rains...and can actually get a bit ,"poofy' where my females coat seems to lay flat....I trim it with thinning shears..so I may have removed too much undercoat ??..What is the proper length for the legs ??? Appreciate your advice !😊

@@KathgoKat Show wise I'd say 4 inches. We go more off shape and balance with the dogs body. I'm actually doing a video on a handstripping my male in a show groom in a week or two and will upload it on my page soon

I would just leave the legs longer than the body when trimming. Provided they are brushed out.
