Also please remember I am not a professional groomer, I do this because it is easier on me and Peak for me to do the grooming on my own, as it means if needed he can work and he does not need to be away from me for an extended amount of time.

Hello! You may want to invest in a good long pin slicker brush. The round pin brush you have is made for combing extra long top knots and not really for the body. Where as a long pin slicker gets down to the skin and lifts the hair up as it detangles meaning a fluffy and tangle free poodle! I recommend the Chris Christensen big K in large. Make sure to back comb and line brush. Other than that, you are doing a great job as a novice groomer! We love your videos!!

I’m OBSESSED with this haircut!!! I have a 7 month standard poodle SDIT and I’m still trying to figure out what haircut I like so I’ve been exploring with him. I just screenshotted Peak and immediately sent it to my groomer saying I need this and how much I’m obsessed lol 😂 so stinking cute!!

Peak looks good. One grooming tip to help save time around the feet: brush the hair down and hold just above his foot (hand around lower leg and hair). Cut the excess and voila! That doesn't make much sense in text, but the GroomerTV KZfaq channel has great demonstrations from some of the top groomers in the field. (I was a professional groomer until I had to stop due to an injury.)

@@PicksPooches it is! I’ve kept it on Mal for almost a year now, and I don’t plan on changing it. It makes her look like she’s wearing 80’s leg warmers😂

I want to be able to groom my dog so badly!! He’s a standard poodle, but he’s just a pup right now, and he doesn’t like the clippers or scissors. 😟

I have that same dryer! Does yours start to do a high pitched whistle when you increase the air flow?

Mine has not done this, but it might depend on how high you start it or what cap you start using it with
