Do you have a puppy or will you have one soon? Then you have to get the puppy used to grooming as soon as possible! Take your puppy to the groomer and let them get used to washing, drying, clipping, scissoring, nail clipping, etc. It is important that a dog gets used to the grooming process as a puppy or the dog may not like to be groomed later in life. In this video, we groom Odette the Maltese puppy for the first time! Not a lot of scissoring is done, but we make sure that Odette can build up a good relationship with grooming.

I waited until my dog had it's shots before I took to the groomer. Not ideal but I didn't want he to pick up any sickness

Hi, Do you ever use a small clipper with comb attachment on body/chest to save on scissoring time? I have a Mal-Shi about 10 lbs and I’m wanting to learn to do my own grooming with her. I adopted her a few weeks ago and she’s most likely 12-18 months. She does well with a bath.

Hello Kitty! I really appreciate you and your responses to me on other videos as well as the links on scissors you sent me. Can you please advise me on the Showtech scissors I should buy for grooming my maltese/shitzu? I plan on keeping her hair short so I wasn’t sure if I should also buy the Showtech cordless clipper. Do I need all 4 scissors-the straight, the curved, the curved blenders and the straight blenders? My thought was to using the cordless clippers first and then finish with scissoring and scissoring over comb? But if I use cordless clipper, is there still a need to scissor over comb? I really a[predicate your expertise and being so helpful to me ❤️
