Speaking as an old ski resort worker, you need a battery cut off switch. Maybe a solar trickle charger too. The cold just sucks the life out of a battery

Even a fully charged brand new battery has it's limitations. Best to fit quick release terminal clamps and remove the battery when not in use. Keeps it relatively warm and removes the possibility of any parasitic draws. That and waxed diesel are the bane of really cold climates.

I usually will try it once, maybe twice, and if it doesn't start hit with starting fluid. I usually close it back up (quickly) before I try starting it again. Things while usually starting with start fluid, and it's easier to close it back up without it running. Also, when you hook up the charger, I usually will turn on the lights for a second or bump the start to draw the current in. I'm sure you know all this with all the equipment you have. People think I have a lot of equipment, but you definitely have me bet. That little snowcat is sweet. I didn't get a chance to watch all the videos just the beginning. An old trick to help start a engine in the winter is, to run a hose from the exhaust on your generator to the exhaust on the engine (we used to use flex exhaust hose for 2 feet .. then old spring wire vacuum cleaner hose :) ) It's amazing how much wasted heat a generator produces! I feel like the branch cutter needs a row of teeth on the top side as well. Several times you can see branches bypass the cutter by escaping up the top. However, if it were to have that, then that bolt on the hitch won't be enough, as the lever arm force might bent it.
