Indeed it does. In fact, the chance to ignore the damage of an attack also makes it harder to activate Frenzy at will.

He works best with towers that attack at range while still having units, the best 5 towers to use with him from my experience are: mausoleum (dont use the possession, converted enemies still count, bad bc you cant control them), swamp thing (good for letting him heal up, and deals with the tanky units that Grosh cant), Shaolin Temple (best anti-air tower, keeps things in Grosh's area of pain and deals with backline ranged units that he struggles with), Ignis Altar (doubles up on the aoe, makes it much more difficult for enemies to get past Grosh, and the golem is good for a fallback option to help him heal. Worst case if Grosh dies, the bone zone with lava pools is a death sentence for things to try and pass through. Altar is also great at killing clumps of ranged enemies) Infernal Mage (high magic dmg, clumps enemies with teleport and removes armour)

Elite harassers are also good with him, though not as high a priority. On certain maps, bone flingers can be amazing with him, provided that you can guarantee what lane the skeletons go to in order to let Grosh use his full dps potential. special props go to maps where lanes split and meet back up later, as the skeletons can avoid the area that Grosh sets up camp, while winding around to kill any ranged units that may have built up on him. Deep devils reef may also work, but i have serious doubts, as im unsure if the spears have enough range to keep Grosh from breaking form. Rotten forest could potentially work, but you would need to avoid getting the treants. Also if using both, put Grosh at the very end of the forest's range, as it will let ranged units die to the forest's chip dmg. Overall, only really good when facing insanely large hordes and letting Grosh clean up. Zombies are near useless with Grosh, as they are near uncontrollable. their main role is to stagger out a horde, something that Grosh doesn't like. Dark knights are specialized for dealing with big units, but usually like fighting alongside the hero (specifically heroes like Dianyun and Jun'pai, who can heal them to enable them more) Grosh really doesnt work well with any melee barracks. Ork shaman may find use with harassers or mausoleum, as the increased effective healing is helpful at getting him on his feet. (Pretty sure shaman only activates the healing when 3 units are together, letting you have it ready whenever you need to heal) Goblin Zeppelin can be good, but the sapper can cancel the passive, so better to use other towers. Blazing Gem helps with the fact that Grosh is sorely lacking in the tank killing department, only being able to topple one or two without healing. Dont place in the front, instead keep grosh around where enemies enter the Gem's range. This is because it isnt good at dealing with ranged units, and other towers could do the job better. Goblirangs could _potentially_ have use, stunning enemies to keep them near Grosh As for the other towers, they dont seem anything to write home about.

A huge tusk? I hope that was punintentional! And yeah, enemies with high damage are going to to delete him if he has less than 200 HP remaining. Luckily he does have those 8 seconds to retreat.

I mean, Jigou and Margosa are good. Jun'pei and Jack are OK. And Veruk is... there. I don't know if I like Grosh, specially because of his "near death" abbilities.

Are you sure that wasn't just coincidence? On stream, he got killed outright while fighting a Prehistoric Dwarf. Maybe it can be tested with Demolishers since their deaths deal the most damage.

@@Voduke789 Which stream did you mean? I’ll try to find a way to bypass that Frenzy. There is also a possibility for a confusion that Frenzy could have still being on cooldown. Since Prehistoric Dwarf’s damage per hit isn’t high enough to skip it entirely, I can give Demolisher a try.

Nah they are all physical. It's just very high damage so it's hard to believe it's that good.

@@Voduke789 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/osmdnKWpypa-eZc.html watch my video at 2:42 The bone Carrier have 1120 health and 80% armor so the durability is 5600 hp there is no way grosh can deal that heavy damage in that short duration the only thing I can tell is the extra damage that his abilities get from lone warriors and basic attack are true damage but I'm not sure can you check that

Does it beat the damage he can deal on his own in 18 seconds (his respawn time)? If so, then it might be worth it.

@@Voduke789 The bone spike remains 16sec, so its a total 800 area damage. It seems deal less damage on single target but has speed decrease and more area damage. I usually place him in front of the mage before he die, when mages go into spikes ,call a reinforce and they will die.I think this skill gives you different choice when he in low health and run out of rage, he is a slow hero, place him out of battle feild and take a breath may loose more damage than just let him die

Well, i guess another thing that i do thats different is i try to keep him as high with hp as possible. Sure rampage technically increases his damage, but he is close to death. Imo its not worth it to try and keep him in perpetual rampage.

Yeah at max level he is much less susceptible to the HP skipping. After all, 967 is still great for tanking and with his armor he can reasonably survive most hits from enemies. Sorry if I overexaggerated his weaknesses against tough enemies - he's actually still really good haha

There were two spaces for heroes when Dianyun was released, and for previous updates too. It's just how Ironhide likes to format the hero room to give you hope, but I wouldn't draw any conclusions or develop any expectations from this.
