One of the misconceptions about Moe Norman's Single Plane Golf Swing is that you won't gain club head speed and distance. But just ask Brock Elmore, director of coaching for the Graves Golf Gold Membership, who in this video explains how he gained 15 yards with every club-driver, fairway woods, hybrids and irons.
When you get coaching and train the Single Plane Swing correctly, you too can add distance with a simpler, more stable motion that produces rotational power in the golf swing. Brock, in my opinion, has mastered the Single Plane Swing in a very short period of time with the help of video coaching.
Check out this driver swing lesson and Brock's driver swing in slow motion as we analyze how Moe Norman's mistake-proof impact and release can help you boost club head speed and improve ball-striking.
-------
The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing - impact.
Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back.
This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary.
The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.

Hey Todd, I just want to thank you for all your videos about the single plane! I used to be a single handicapped back in highschool but after I lost my swing I just couldn’t get it right again and stopped enjoying golf which led to me stopping. I really appreciate how detailed you go into explaining and I studied so many videos in 2 days that when I went to the driving range my shots were very consistent. It’s very magical to me how my swing feels so natural and easy now. Only 3 weeks in and I’m back to single handicap! Todd you are the best and rekindled my love for golf like never before so thank you for that! You’re the only coach now that I’ll spend money to support! To anyone deciding if they should make the switch I recommend it 100 out of 10!

P Gowan, lots of gold in these videos. If there was a plate on Brock’s footwork here you’d see some really awesome utilization of the ground forces in these swings.

What I really appreciate about this series of videos is watching Brock use his new swing. When I watch Todd or Moe videos the swing is just too perfectly smooth and natural. With Brock I can “see” he’s still working on it like me. The extra wide drill really showed me the feeling I need in my lower body. Thanks gentlemen!

Todd, can you show students with physical limitations and how you address that? Limited flexibility. Bad hips. Bad shoulders. Etc

funny i have been in and out of (good and bad) golf after four decades of playing the “conventional way”. some years back i chanced upon the moe norman swing videos made easier to digest by li’l moe todd graves! as someone blessed with a decent level of athletic ability, i found it easy to execute due to the least amount of moving parts! it is really THAT mechanically simple and efficient! then i stopped playing due to covid-19. recently i went back into the game once again playing the “conventional way” as my body has learned from “memory”. darn i was all over the place grasping at straws everytime i went to the course or the range looking for that proverbial shangrila moment. as always it seldom comes and mostly goes away. one day my youtube preferences played back the ole moe swing lessons and much more in the form of these more recent videos where “converts” swear by it! as of this writing i just whacked the living daylights out of several buckets of pured, lengthy goodness! the swing is so simple it only took me a few balls and a wedge before my body settled down with the very few mechanical details necessary to execute it properly. it is honestly idiosyncratic as todd very well puts it and something to be well understood to be appreciated. moving forward, i will try to wean myself away from playing the “conventional way” and be simply efficient and consistent. oh and by the way, to the nay sayers who claim you lose distance??? go figure!! it is also THAT loong! cheers and be safe todd!

Todd, I started your single plane swing about a year ago. I was about a 16-18 hcp, now in a 9.8 but shot 1 over 73 today for the first time in my golf league. I owe a great thanks to you buddy! Keep up the good work! When will you be close to California?

With SPS I do feel an element of "ground force" in the sense that when I'm rotating around that stable trail leg and keeping my trail foot down I can feel the pressure building on the inside of my trail leg. Then when I transition into my flexed lead knee I definitely feel like I'm using the ground to produce speed and power as I'm obviously pushing off the inside of that trail leg off the ground. Does that make sense?

These videos are always awesome! Thanks for doing them. *QUESTION:* My biggest challenge is keeping that trail foot down through impact. Can you do a video just on how to accomplish that better, easier? Thanks!

How about an ultra slow video of Brock’s swing DTL and face on along with normal speed and for that matter from the backside.

Is there an easier way to get the lead hand grip then tilting and isolating the bicep and putting it into a full range of motion while you’re on the golf course

Mo's follow through seems short, compact whereas Brock's follow through is expansive. Something is going on there,

Moe did let his right heel be brought up with the momentum of swinging down the line and turning the upper body over the lead leg a little better than Brock does
