You are absolutely right. Kojima would be smiling if he saw this. Miller and ocelot are pulling the strings and are manipulating this false big boss. Miller is captured on purpose, and ocelot convinces Miller its snake during the rescue. afterward ocelot plants big bosses recording to get venom to realize he is being manipulated, and by doing this kicks Miller out of outer heavens plans by getting him to quit after realizing there is no snake and join with Fox afterward. Even though fox itself and the patriot system are working with ocelot, is just one big ruse to clean out venom snake before he becomes a major power. And ultimately Miller gets played and disposed of in MGS 1. So much double and triple crossing left and right.

I always though the Ground Zeroes we played was part of Venom's imagination, that being the reason why "Big Boss" has the Medic's voice (Sutherland) and not BIG BOSS' voice (Hayter). This goes in line with MGS2, where we never played the Tanker Chapter, we played Raiden playing a VR simulation of the Tanker Chapter. Of course, this theory falls apart when you learn in the japanese dub they never changed actors for Big Boss/Venom.

I think one thing you forgot to mention (idk if you have) is at 1:17 are the butterflies which nobody seems to talk about, is the symbol of MK ULTRA the monarchy mind control program done by the CIA in 60's could it be that venom snake was conducted in MK ULTRA?

Python & Selkan gave MGSV a whole nother layer of depth... i always felt the story was incomplete, and was rushed... but for some weird reason, it also feels compeling.. like a lingering thought of "what if" ...the longer it takes for the story to be answered, the more Venom Snake grows on me

i dont know how you all feel but i really never felt like trusting miller. i always had that militant feeling from him. cold and unfeeling and always having something to say about our decision that he didnt like. the thing is, the more i think the more i feel the only ones Venom could trust are quiet, code talker and believe it or not, huey. So basically everyone that is kinda with him on missions in some sort of way. Everyone else? They are controlled by Miller... EDIT: I notices the more we went to become another Hero like the original, the more Miller was dissatisfied with us. Kinda ironic.

Holy crap this video was made 2 years ago, this hit me very hard as a metal gear solid fan There is still so many unanswered questions about MGSV and the missing link. There needs to be a wrap up, what we need to know now is what the REAL Big Boss was doing during that time. What were his true intentions into doing all of this. This is when I think the real MGS5 comes in. No not MGSV but MGS5. Or in other words MGS6.

It makes sense about venom actually being the protagonist in ground zeros , why would Chico be so scared to be saved by snake ? Unless it wasn’t snake and Chico had no idea who was saving him at the time, what if snake was already in a coma before ground zeros medic had already started becoming venom snake prior to the helicopter incident .

Does this mean the actual boss knew what was happening and just made a scapegoat in venom? He couldn't prove kaz was a traitor but from his past actions in PW, he didn't want to get fooled twice. Once you think about it, venom was a damn fiddle.

It also aligns with your theory that every single one of the Old Mother Base photographs you find in the Phantom Pain are directly related to one of Paz's audio logs in GZ, as if Venom's only memories about Paz were through these select few implanted memories.

After watching your video, I've been thinking a lot about this and it really fits...why Ocelot was so dull throughout the whole game? Because he brainwashed himself to forget who Venom was. Why Kaz was acting so strange? Because he's the one who betrayed the boss. Why it's called ground zeroes? Because Zero had this idea to protect the boss and get back at Skullface for the parasite attack. Ground Zeroes was an implanted memory by Ocelot and Zero in us, the player, to root out Boss's enemies and destroy them, but nobody really knew who betrayed Boss from the inside, only Skullface did. It has to be Kaz. Huey is a survivor, not a plotter. Now the question is why would he? Did he knew about the attack? Obviously he was working with the skulls after, and perhaps worked with venom as a double agent to await the real boss's return, but things went sideways and SF got killed in the end. Man, I get why the Boss had to leave. The only one he could trust was Ocelot and, to some extent, Zero...we as the player are the ones played like a damn fiddle, and the whole game is a fourth wall breaker. Kojima really did it. Best Metal Gear ever.

Skullface was defeated by a guy who hallucinates all the time , an angry blind man with no arms or legs and a gunslinger who conviced the entire Soviet army to join diamond dogs.

Miller was Zero's right hand, and Skull Face was his left hand. There's an old saying "the right hand knows not what the left hand is doing". Miller wasn't just the right hand of Zero following Skull Face's death at the end of Chapter 1, he was Cipher. Everything was a dog and pony show, all scripted out to play Venom. He knew Venom wasn't the real Big Boss, in fact, he orchestrated the body double as we saw in the final scene of GZ. He knew that Venom wouldn't budge unless Ocelot was provoked and Big Boss aka Ishmael was standing guard. He got himself kidnapped on purposed, even maimed on purpose to give a good show. How else did XOF keep functioning after Skull Face was gone? Miller was calling the shots. When Skull Face went rogue after GZ he began to implement Zero's backup plan. And the Outbreak incident and trial with Huey was the biggest farce of them all. Huey was even in on it the whole time. The only one really on Venom's side was Ocelot. He was taking orders directly from Big Boss himself. Ocelot ordered Liquid aka Eli to steal Sahelanthropus, destroy it, and hide out so that Miller would think Eli was never with them. Why else did he say he would take the other son of Big Boss and raise him to combat the other Miller had waiting?

I really thought there couldn't be much more to be found, but it's clear that the sequence of events that we experience is essentially a forced delusion that deserves to be looked at more closely. HOLYFUCK IT'S 3 AM AND I JUST FOUND OUT THIS: Miller, in the truth tapes you obtain at the end of the game, talks with Zero in a recording, he directly says: "I only joined you after I found out what you were after" -Secret recording of Miller and Zero, 3:35. Then, he proceeds to say "But after that, what you did... How could you do that to him?" (3:58) He's talking about torturing Paz! Afterwards, Zero says: "After that... wasn't me" This could mean betraying him as well as torturing Paz. The secret tape with Skull Face talking to Zero says: "Although he's under my jurisdiction now..." (Referring to Miller -sorry 4 the shitty english- 2:38) This can confirm Miller was connected to Cipher... a really close connection... *EDIT* Skullface, in "Story of Paz", says he's not the one to decide on Big Boss's death.... then Miller shows up and "Give her the shot already" This is saying that Miller tried to kill Big Boss. Or... maybe joined forces with Skullface to kill Zero, Kazuhira seemed to hate him... but the only reason he would put a bomb on Paz, knowing Snake would rescue her... is to kill him.

Miller is Skullface... it always brings me back to the scene where code talker talks about "eyes on kazuhira miller", and venom had an image in his imagination about skull face who becomes miller (as he turns to walk) to be honest, i think the whole hospital scene, where multiple male patients were in (who are almost identical in height and body type), is a "factory." ...a facility meant to make multiple big boss mental clones like Venom Snake... another simulation... and whoever makes it out alive, become the new Big Boss.. in which case Venom (the medic) Snake, got the part could it be, that everyone in MGSV (including huey) are in one way or another, working to brainwash Venom Snake? all of them (ocelot, miller, huey, and skull face) have different agenda why they want to "clone" big boss? they are all angry with one another right? ...what if all the missions are made, to simulate experience, so they can recreate a new "big boss" while the real one is still in a coma

Does that explain Miller saying “you’re going to extract him” when you extract random soldiers? Instead of “subject on board. Leave the rest to us.” I always was suspicious about that.

This is all the more reason why I truly think Venom/Big Boss from MG went full evil after being betrayed and manipulated by everyone! Miller and Ocelot had a falling out, with each man choosing to side with their respective Big Boss, which can be further seen in MG and MG2...and then Miller is killed (supposedly by Ocelot, but could have been Liquid) in MGS1, but why? This theory explains it! Miller is the first and only antagonist that never used a Metal Gear to try and overthrow the Patriots (or a version of it)...🤯

Kinda late, but notice in the credits to the hospital scene it states both Big Boss and Venom Snake. I think rather than Miller being there with Big Boss, it was instead Big Boss telling the Medic "Don't die on me."

I think the entire MGSGZ AND MGSVTPP is a simulation of the patios S3, we are experiencing grey fox’s psycho therapy.

The thing with kaz talking bs with "cant believe we bought that cover story" is one thing. But i am currently replaying the game and there are some other things that dont add up in GZ and TPP. At first I thought it was just some videogame thing, but check this out. - Paz's Bombs never explode in Ground Zeroes if you take too long The game never really explains "how long" it is until her time runs out when you rescue her. But Kojima and the other MGS staff would never overlook such a fine detail if GZ was real. In MGS1 you can also carry a trap bomb, if you dont notice it - it will kill you suddenly after a certain while. I tested it, you can wait as long as you want in GZ, she the bomb will never go off until you are in the chopper. One might argue that its for dramatic effect in the cutscene, but think about it for a while. And while BB can be a feely guy, the real Big Boss would NEVER hestitate to actually throw paz out of the helicopter if he knew she had a bomb inside. While I can get that they tried to get information about cipher out of her, he would priotise his own life after PW. The ending of the phantom pain even strongly hints this with the medic doppelganger. - XOF planting bombs on all plants of the MSF weeks before the incident or even while they were there. I am sorry but thats impossible. TPP says in an audio tape that they did that, and even if Miller could deceive the entire MSF staff with getting Paz and Zardanov in, they would have noticed that. It was known that MSF is highly protective of their waters, we talk about a millitary force with boats and helicopters and probably personal that checks the construction aspect of the plants. Besides, the number of the plants blown up also dont add up in that one scene where you rescue miller. You see like what 3-4 of them? At the end of PW Mother Base is way bigger and not as small as GZ lets you think. Especially if you complete Metal Gear Zeke, which almost needs a maxed out base. And lets not go into the part, how BB and rest survived a helicopter crash into the carribean. The truth tapes in and some others kinda go into this in TPP, but it still feels half assed and impossible.

Major Zero also says ‘Rhodesian’ when skull face says he’s up to his old tricks. The diamond dog on the badge is a Rhodesian

I always wonder, yeah chapter 3 was "peace" chapter, but there so much story without clarification. Miller worked for cipher at end of Peace Walker, what happened with that? Zero never appears, Skull Face die prematurely, We never see David "Solid Snake" either... The game was incomplete.

Confirmation of what i always believed. Venom is the only victim, and Huey was innocent (kind of, because he was a shitty man even if he didn't betray Big Boss). Miller is the most obvious liar, just consider that choosing his side instead of Ocelot's in every moral choice moment of the game would make you kind of a bad guy (kill Quiet the biggest example), and that we have big hints like his eyes and Codetalker's message from the parasites. This doesn't change the fact that Ocelot's in this too, he's just more caring because of his dedication to BB. Now i hope you will also talk about how nuclear self disarmament is Kojima's greatest testament of MGS and how we failed horribly to achieve this because of our shooting spree and micro transactions addictions (we deserve Konami).

Wouldn't that also mean the hospital scene took place before the events in Costa Rica, in Peace Walker? Which also means that Mother Base wouldn't even exist, yet. Which ALSO means that it was also around the time that Big Boss actually first meets Kazuhira Miller. Could it be that the hospital scene takes place after Big Boss fought against Miller's unit in Colombia? Could it be that the grenade Miller tried to use to kill himself and Big Boss actually went off somehow? As always, a truly intriguing video!

I thought Kaz's line "no more use for me, huh?" Was him thinking the Russians who were torturing him for information, or whoever was doing it, were going to off him finally. Not because he expected someone to save him?

I have a theory I’d like others to consider on similar lines. My thought was that Miller has been working for cipher from peace walker up to probably mgs1. There are a few scenes in TPP that indicate that Miller is using Huey as a scapegoat. When Miller and Ocelot are interrogating Huey, under some truth serum, Emmerich says he wasn’t in contact with Zero during the events of ground zeroes. The very next thing Huey says is something like, you know who was, to which ocelot replies “I have an idea”

My question is.. if kaz was betrayed us from day 1 lets say.. then why skull face torture him and cut his arm n knee? like for what reason? Did he get betray as well? Can u make this clear phyton? Thank you 😁

i think i know how miller felt when he heard the news about the real boss. oh god, this video changes everything, i actually have no words, i'm so confused. this video was amazing, thank you

This makes a lot of sens, considering that Miller years later would help FOXHOUND (Patriot controlled) to kill Big Boss. Miller and Big Boss did not part in the best of circumstances, but I don't think that is reason enough for Miller to want to kill him. But if Miller was an agent of the Patriots all along then this would make a lot more sense. This entire time Miller only became a close friend of Big Boss because Cipher wanted him to! Maybe the final mission which was left unfinished (Kingdom of the Flies) could have ended with Miller being revealed to be a double agent.

So this is why Big Boss' VA was changed. Big Boss from GZ isn't the real Big Boss from PW and MGS3, but rather a hallucination that is being inducted into Venom Snake during his comma in TPP, so there's no way David Hayter could be the VA for Snake in GZ

HOLY SHIT! Kojima is unable to receive an award for MGSV but he can still work with Vogt on the MGS movie though? I have a feeling Kojima will clear up some of the theories soon.

The "real" Big Boss or Ishmael in GZ and TPP is actually Solidus Snake, and lines up with his timeline and accelerated aging compared to the other clones. It also explains the change in voice acting. I believe the last time we actually saw the real Big Boss was in Peace-walker. Watch the movie cut-scenes from Peace-walker and it will fill in a lot of missing clues. Just in the beginning cut-scene, big boss doesn't want to form an organization or even take the bait to form an army because he knows it can grow out of his control and be manipulated by Cipher. He only takes the job from them using the bosses voice and using Paz to get him to agree to it. Miller and the professor were in on it and they were all agents of Cipher. And the ending speech of Peace-walker by Big Boss is entirely misinterpreted. He meant they would be an outer heaven for soldiers and would fight the good fight as mercenaries using guerilla warfare, even if they were perceived as the "bad guys". He didn't want to form an army, he wanted individuals to be free and think for themselves. Forming an army was not his original MO, but the events of Peace-walker left him with soldiers with no where to go. Outer Heaven was separate from diamond dogs and hijacked by Cipher and eventually merged together. They used the identity of Big Boss to undermine and control everything he did. His own actions were constantly compromised, his legacy and reputation are not his own. So of course the real Big Boss gets all paranoid and tries to fight back against Cipher by creating Zanzibar Land and super soldiers and cyborg ninjas etc. But Zanzibar was also hijacked by cipher and Solidus took control of that operation, or they were painted as the enemy and taken down by Solid snake. So then after all of this, Big Boss had no choice but to consolidate with Zero and infiltrate Foxhound and look over Solid Snake who showed potential at taking down Cipher and being an independent thinker. At the end of MGS4, he tells him to renew his lease on life. Nano-machines son, solid will live on into the AC!D era, and Big Boss will reveal his truth, because I believe his true whereabouts from 1972 in Peace-walker to 2014 in MGS4 are still unaccounted for and a mystery. "Big Boss" in MG1 is proven to be Venom and a double, why would it be ridiculous to assume that Zanzibar "Big Boss" was also a double and actually Solidus Snake???? He's referred to as the president of Zanzibar, then shortly after the fall of Zanzibar is the president of the United States. It also perfectly fits his timelines. Ishmael and GZ Big Boss is Solidus Snake, the second body double. Zanzibar Big Boss is Solidus, again the second double. The real Big Boss is an unsung hero just like the original boss. The whole world believes him to be a villain, except this time, most of the fans do too. That's the 4th wall reach of Kojima to basically test if you'd also buy that narrative if it was sold to you. In MGS3, it's obvious that the Boss was manipulated and an unsung hero to her country that was used as a political tool by her country. Big Boss later said she rejected him and who he was a soldier because she let them manipulate her and didn't fight for what was right. She turned her back on him for her country, and Big Boss knew it should of been the other way around. Basically, the Boss's nation betrayed her, but because she accepted orders to be manipulated as a political tool, she then betrayed Big Boss. Big Boss's MO was to never compromise his character. He didn't kill Paz and still cared for her even after she tried to kill him. He knew she was being manipulated.

Further more on this Kaz working for Skullface evidence: Miller if he was on the helicopter BB was on would have also been severally injured there's no way he would have just fine. Zero even mentions that Kaz gets out of the hospital very fast- almost as if he had no injures at all.

play Mission 32 in Phantom pain, catch the assassin, bring him to Mother Base and listen carefully what miller says.

It's scary how on point you are about induced memories via a coma.... I've experienced this waking up thinking I was in a terror attack in Europe for a good hour or so. I imagine with enough suggestions you can permafry someone. Because someone was watching the Brussels terror attack while i was in an induced coma. in the same room.... If the real big boss was in a comma from 75 to 84 and ocelot gives the real big boss a passport dated 1978 it truly makes for one mind buggling of scenario, and if kojima stated that we would understand all this by completing MGS V, why is this still being questioned? I sure and hell cannot grasp what (if anything) I am missing here. If all this was an error from Mr. Kojima from a writers angle, I'm not sure if he made such a mistake that would raise all these theories and questions, what ever he did and has been in place I think has been place on point by him (Kojima) but I would love to have all this clarify at some point. Can't believe this game is long gone a game that came out some time ago already and we are still trying to figure it all out, and if it wasn't for you guys Python&Selkan this level of detail/clue dealing would not be possible.

Remember when Kojima said we could play ground zero in TP, maybe you would play as Venom snake relieving the simulation from a different perspective.

You gotta realize that everything that Kojima does in a MGS game or MG game, is for a reason. There may be other things he has and we haven't figured it out yet

I support the theory that everything in MGSV needs to be taken with a grain of salt, due to Venom's manipulation. However, I'm not hung up on Liquid having the Enfants timeline 100% correct. Liquid got his intel on the project from spies and conjecture, and he was (shirtlessly) giving a super-quick summary to a guy he was planning to kill. With the series theme of dis/information, I have to remind myself that a character may believe something is true but not be "right."

Believed or not..but I had a dream today about new video on this channel. I looked through YT videos and I spotted PythonSelkanHD uploaded new video about MGS. And here we go...I came back from work and there is indeed a new video. WOW

I love this theory because when i first played the game i already had some similar interpretation of Kaz agenda, its something thats not even cryptic, you a re supposed to suspect a lot. This theory just add the meat to that idea, i always bring this up when people talk shit about Huey, i always say: what about Kaz?

I actually agree with Big Boss on this, Kaz's vengefulness was becoming pathological and killing Huey was not going to fix it.

I think it's also why at the start of the GZ missions, it says "pseudo-historical events". In early days, I wasn't sure what it meant. But now I see it to be more like the events were manipulated specifically for Venom.

I was at Mother Base yesterday on the R&D Platform looking for Diamonds. I think I have a 3/4 built on my Mother Base for R&D. I heard them talking about a Traitor among them. Yeah it was after I released Huey but they mentioned they were told by Miller there was a traitor. I don't remember exactly what they said but its worth looking into if you can.

I just now found this and holy shit... This changed everything.

This made me see the game narrstive differently 1. At some point in time Miller and Skull fsce were working together, under the orders of Zero, naturally. The whole incident in mother base was a sudden attack and big boss was in it ( not on a mission as presented) 2. Vic Voss tried to escape with Miller via helicopter snd it was taken down, leading to Big boss falling into a 9 year coma. At that time they took another survivor of the indicent (Medic) which apparently was a top elite soldier and turned him into Venom Snake. 3. This is most likely an intent of Zero to make a Big Boss for himself as he and the real BB were in bad blood. Les efants terrible was a success but still ways to go because they were children and as we saw in peace walker, kaz knew about the kids project so naturally Kaz was the one responsible for the skull u its and security breach at mother base, NOT HUEY. 4. Huey called an inspector but my guess Kaz sabotaged the whole thing so instead of having an inspector, Kaz brought Skull Face and the skulls so they could wreak havok and then put BB in a coma so they could copy him. 5. At the time of BB's coma. They mentally trained Venom Snake to be a mental doppleganger of BB, by inducing fake memories. 6. Skull face becomes rogue and tried to go against Zero, and at some point he and Miller parted ways in the middle east and I bet Miller knew about the Metal gear being developed in there so Miller tried to run away from Skull face and his units but ended up.being caught by the russians 7. BB awakens, Ocelots fill BB in about what has happened and BB instructs Ocelot about making Venom a fake BB who is leading the front against SF forces 8. BB helps Venom to escape the hospital and then reunites with Ocelot, tells him his plan about outer heaven and leaves a cassete tape behind for Venom, whicj ocelot helds. 9. Ocelot takes VS in and induces him hypnotherapy so "Ground zeroes" becomes Venom's past and he could mentally shape himself as a true copy of BB. 10. VS goes middle east and rescue Miller. 11. Miller knew HuEY probably saw him working with SF so he tried to capture him so Huey takes the blame of everything while Miller clean himself of any guilty act he did.

Is it possible that Chico told big boss to go away during his rescue because the real big boss had interrogated him and forced him to do things to Paz?

Hmmmm...... Might make sense I also noticed that in other MGS before 5 solid snake and naked snake had same voice actor - "David Hayter" while for MGS5 Ground Zero and Phantom pain had voice actor "Kiefer Sutherland". So the change in voice actor can be justifiable because "Venom Snake " was a separate individual before getting hypnotic therapy. You can make the person look similar to someone else and act like someone else. But you cannot completely make them perfect copy the voice of someone else. IDK what kind of stuff they did with Medic to make his voice somewhat similar to "Naked Snake". But it is only my hypothesis that The base of phantom pain was being made in Ground:Zero. And maybe change in voice actor was just a hint..... It's just my understanding for English language. IDK about other languages

I always thought the events of the main ground zeros mission happened to the true big boss, but the mission we played was altered slightly with dialog changes to brainwash venom in to believing he was big boss that would make sense of why there or extra missions that all take place in the camp omega they’re a training program implanted into venom through brainwashing that can be played over and over again as a training program giving venom all the experience he needs to take on the roll of big boss when he wakes from the coma

As incomplete as the final game is, the layered narrative and the really awesome gameplay makes it up as one of my favorite MGS ever.

I always watch these to remind myself of what is beyond what we see and hear in that game.

Until this year, I was annoyed they got rid of Hayter for MGSV. Sutherland fits and works and as the game aged and I aged, it made sense “oh Sutherland is the medic’s voice but what about BB in GZ?” Then slowly this year it started hitting me and I keep finding vids like this. Both GZ/PP is Venom.
