Our little flock of bantam chickens went from agitated to complete pandemonium... for good reason. There was a happy ending... no chickens were harmed. The groundhog will not be bothering them in the future.

??? It’s fenced on all sides, has bird netting over top, and is currently very densely planted. It’s also surveilled with multiple cameras.

It always amazed me how poorly some people are at protecting their livestock. Chickens coops and runs are the easiest thing to secure. This shouldn't happen.

@@ohroonoko o rly? 300’ of fencing is difficult to make permanently ground hog proof. Lots of digging to bury fence to prevent it. Not worth it IMHO. I’m not very worried about groundhogs. Only real concern are Hawks during the day and maybe raccoons at night. The run is well covered by security cameras. Occasionally something will get in. Rarely will it have a chance to do it more than once.
