This can definitely be done better and it will look much better in the end. Why do we show this video? Because for now we only have this one to show the assembling steps. In order to clarify, saying the seats are wrong is not correct. In the end, everybody is completely free in the design of your model, but let me assure you...neither of the two Uhlenhaut Coupés built ever had leather seats! Please do not confuse this Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR vehicle with the 300 SL (which had leather seats)!

This model is available in smaller scales from high end brands and they have very nice and consistent seats with the right rigidity and look, being also made of fabric and filling. They need to be completely redesigned here or it will be a massive let down for such a great model. It could be a deal breaker for many.

7:30 - I agree about the model and videos being great, up until this one. The seats look horrible. I’m surprised you posted this video. I’d have expected you to showcase how good everything about the model looks. Can the seat cushions be made to fit better and look better with more care? If they can, you should show that. If they can’t, well, that’s a big problem for the model.

I agree that the seats are completely wrong. If the seats in my model are the same, I will have to use them as a template to make better seats, perhaps in black leather.

Great build, up until today... The seats (covers) are awful and detract from the rest of the model. I can't recall them looking so ill-fitting and wrinkled in the earlier promo images. Some foam in the cushions would have made all the difference.

Until this video I was positive and planning to buy the kit, but after seeing these chairs that changed, unfortunately. After so many delays, they should have spent an extra week on the seats, it's a real shame that they look so awful. Things like incorrectly used colors, visible casting seams, or respraying things can all be done, but how do you get this right yourself? For a kit in this price range, this is unacceptable in my opinion, and heading in a no-go direction for me.

Tot nu toe ziet (zag) het model er goed uit, maar de stoelzittingen is echt een blunder. gewoon slecht, jammer jammer en nog eens jammer.
