About to do an overseeding and dog pee spot fix. I’ve been holding off because of the temperature. Mid 70’s but the days are shorter and nights get down into the low 60’s. Should I be worried or go for it?@@LawnAmateur

Celsius WG will handle dallisgrass. Thats a more expensive higher grade herbicide weed killer that you'll have to order online. Dallisgrass is a tough weed. The only other way to kill it is to use glyphosate but this will also kill your lawn also. So if you chose to use glyphosate I would spot spray the dallisgrass grass very carefully so you don't destroy the grass around it. Some people even use a thin paint brush to just wet the dallisgrass leaf blades a little so they don't risk overspraying the lawn. I hope this information help

Exactly put the left over seed in a bucket and store it in a dry cool place to keep it fresh

@@LawnAmateur thanks 🙏🏽 so much, I was just leaving my un used seed in its original bag, shame on me. Now that I know about the bucket I will empty lett overseed, place lid, and keep stored in my basement ASAP. If stored properly how long is un used seed good for??

You can spray the weeds first and then wait about 5-7 days to start overseeding. With the insect treatment you can start overseeding or fertilizing 48 hours after the treatment thats what I do.

What are you referring to?

You can spread the turf builder on bare seeded dirt right away so block weeds from germinating. If you're overseeding a lawn then you should wait atleast 1 or 1 1/2 weeks after seeding to spread the turf builder because you want to give your seed a chance to germinate first because the existing grass will feed on the turf builder and grow very quickly and you don't want that.
