The joy of gardening is always about the process, watching it grows daily especially starting from seeds. For hibiscus, the joy is double, the end result is falling in love with how magnificent this hibiscus blooms in the size of giant plate size. Nothing makes a bold statement in your garden quite like the glorious hibiscus!
If you want to get really bushy Hibiscus plants, pinch them in half when the shoots start to come out of the ground and are about 6-10 inches tall. The pinch should be made just above a set of leaves, improving branching. Improved branching will yield more flowers. Each time you pinch, take no more than half of the stem and pinch just above a set of leaves. You will get fuller plants doing multiple pinches. It is also perfectly acceptable to not pinch at all! The plant will have fewer branches, but it will perform perfectly well just like in this video! After the flowering, you can retrim back to train for the branches for a bushy look!
-Grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture.
-Make sure enough watering, do not allow it to dry to the wilting point
-Can be planted in a container or straight to ground
-Fertilized once every two weeks( Ignore the fertilizer I used here, I live in an agricultural town, these are leftover fertilizers, you may want to use equal NPK or higher P ratio for blooming)
